94’ TJ 450D had a winch (40,000)lbs, although someone said not all of them came with it from the factory! TJ’s were odd balls, you could choose cable, single arch, and dual arch, in most models!
Climbing up into one a hundred times a day, makes you wish you were still running the old TJ 225’s, but it makes for a longer day and takes a hit in cost and efficiency!
You didn't mention how much better the old JD is to the new skidder. That was a cool video, will you be able to add a winch at a later time, or are they more integrated than a few bolts?
I like the Cat steering, takes a bit to get used to but definitely better than cranking the wheel around like you do on a Deere. Joysticks are best though
Your shop man is very good. Can't he fabricate and weld on blade extensions for the smaller skidder. I've watched you guys work on everything and I know all of you are good mechanics, welders, etc.
Well i guess that since you didnt talk about it yet... A Winch has not been ordered yet to put on the 545... So is the Big BOSS gonna have or get a New Winch installed???... Otherwise the 545 is gonna be pretty useless when the 535 breaks down and the 545 cant pull trucks in or out of the woods...
You want to rip the wipers off till u work at night when it’s raining and foggy. They come in handy then. I run a 848l and it doesn’t have wipers on the back. Wish it did :(
Thers. Actually a big diff in size huh or many it's the bullet size to it but very nice and best thing is I can hear that moter better than the others .cause during vids they sound electric sometime when going by cam there so quiet ..so I'm like this big girl and the sound ..
They aren't experienced operators are they, the object is NOT to drag it as high as ya can🤦♂️ , and cat skidders suck , time to graduate to tigercat boys!

Those machines are made for hard beats and they seem to hold for that as well.

545 is way nicer to pull wood. I ran both them machines one time or another. Liked the bigger one best.
