Deathmon's gimmick is unique, buuuuuuuuuut it's too ugly, and it reminds me of a certain Pokemon manga with a talking Clefairy that's retarded (and that manga has a cameo in the Pokemon anime). I know that the Nene hybrids look inappropriate, such as Moon=Millenniummon Nene Version, but I LOVE them!
When I was in school I used to make whole digivolution trees based on how Digimon world 3 does digivolution for Cardmon because I thought it was the coolist thing. I imagined it being similar to Toonworld monsters from Yugioh.

Looks more like Porkymons to me, which was a made up Patamon evo from TK. Oinkmon is moreso mechanical than fleshy and only has 2 legs with a propeller tail.

Black Guilmon being from fighting games makes me believe it was never really intended to be a digimon, just one of those alternative colors you usually have in fighting games. That was until it showed up in the background of a Black Gabumon card.
Funnily enough, rumble arena 2 forbids players from choosing the same digimon as characters. The black variants have different moveset than their original color counterparts so I really cannot say that they were supposed to be alternative color for the game.

I do agree that we probably will never see the Death Digimon from C'Mon Digimon again. That being said, I would he cool with seeing the ones besides Deathmon and DeathMeramon also getting modern variations. Heck, DeathMetalGreymon feels like it would even be in the Punkmon evolution family.
What I would like to see is Pandamon from the 2004 manga Digimon Legendary Skies. I think it was a Chinese exclusive manga. Pandamon and its evolutions PalaPandamon and TafaPandamon would be so cool. There are other cool digimon from that manga too I would love to see made official, no matter how unlikely it will be we will see them.

I gave up on BlackGuilmon when they did the entire BlackGrowlmon-ChaosGallantmon/Megidramon line and just had Guilmon hut Purple. WHY!? Another weird one is KingWhamon. It DID get a card but is the ONLY Digimon with a card but no Reference Book entry (I think). If ReverseWeddinmon has a shot then it'll be in BT19 because it's the XW manga set(which unfortunately gave us gross Nene mon 🤢). I was hoping so, so much that Grimmon and its line would appear in EX05 Animal Colisseum because it had Koh&Sayo and Coronamon and Lunamon. I fear the line is lost along with ChaosGallantmon and Ophanimon's extra forms in that game (and poor Hiyokomon). Anyway, great vid as always! My favorite forgotten mon is Rockmon. It appeared in Digimon World. Looks like a green wire frame golem. It showed up in Adventure 2020 in an episode. No reference book entry though. Seems like such a random mon to reference in the anime.

I hoping and I would love to see any of the Dark Knightmon variants from manga and Bagramon Darkness Mode Dark Knightmon Variant. In all honesty, I could see Bandai making Bagramon Angel mode being an Ultimate for Bagramon. He doesn't have his own evolutionary line.
Skullknightsmon's body plan could easily be seen as DarkKnightmon in one of those t rex rancher costumes too. Its still very humanoid and not just a sick and twisted greymon 2010

It's weird that Black Guilmon is forgotten. Mach Leomon, Regulumon, Parallelmon, Metamormon, Hermmon, Lykamon, Panimon. My personal favorite is Red Metal Garurumon, who could be perfect mega for Psychemon.
BlackGuilmon, RookChessmon, Divermon, Bagramon confirmed going to be in the next Digimon console game. Every time Karn does this we wind up seeing digimon get revived.
man there are so many Digimon I want to see more of Tinmon, Rockmon, Petitmamon, MedievalGallantmon, Bun, the DarkKnightmon + Blastmon fusion, and a lot of the Devas. But I am glad Fangmon and Atamadekachimon finally got some appearances in Digimon media. also glad we are past that era where for like 10 years Salamon was excluded from most Digimon media.
The Black Guilmon line is interesting, as there's also two Chaos Dukemon equivalents of Dukemon Crimson Mode who have been abandoned: Gallantmon Chaos Mode, who only existed as a toy exclusive to the US produced during Frontier's airing, and Chaos Dukemon Core, who only appeared in Digimon Story Sunburst

I find it funny that many examples came from the XrossWars Manga, and the next main set for the card game is going to be centered around said manga. So there's hope to see some get an official profile.
Adding to the Digimon V-tamer list: Lykamon, Panimon, and Hermmon. A trio of Mega Digimon made by Neo using Arkadiamon data like Callismon. They were meant to fight Omnimon, Dominimon, and Regulumon, but their fight was scrapped. They still show up in the manga, they just never do anything, their info being on a page detailing that their fight was cut. These are probably the most obscure Digimon from V-tamer jail, because I hardly see any digi-tubers mention them in terms of forgotten Digimon. The Mangaka himself sort of forgot about them. That said Panimon looks VERY similar to Mephistomon. Maybe it got reworked into that.
there was the Burst Modes from one of the V-pet lines (I forget which one, but a lot of Digimon had a weird Burst transformation) Also a lot of the game-exclusive Digimon like Cardmon, Grimmon, the Chronomon line, etc
Luminamon Nene is definitely something I never thought would get revisited... Feels so random to bring that one back out of all the manga exclusive stuff.
If I remember correctly, the black digimon in the Guilmon line is suppose to be it's "natural" evolution line if Guilmon doesn't interact with a tammer in lore, it naturally becomes jaded. So it kinda makes sense there hasn't been a Black Guilmon if regular Guilmon already is.
The weirdest thing about BlackGuilmon is that, he’s in The background of Ex4 Gabumon’s black card just there, and reverse weddimon and Bagramon might get a card in bt19 since it’s based on the Manga of Xros wars

I remember when the card game had its EX4 reveals, when they revealed the fusion of Blue Flare MetalGreymon and DarkKnightmon into GreyKnightsmon they simultaneously added GreyKnightsmon into the encyclopedia with a brand new art that it didn't have before and that digimon was from the xros wars digimon story game and it was considered one of 3 two opposite army fusions, I was thinking they might actually do the same with now BT19 on the horizon focusing on the xros wars manga and we might get machleomon and its mushed up form, RampageGreymon which is a fusion of MetalGreymon Dorulumon and Ballistamon, to me my most anticipated digixros fusion for them to bring back is the last 2 opposite army fusions which is Shoutmon X3GM and X3SD I highly recommend to look them up they look so freaking cool
I'd love to see the Crimson Chaos Digimon from World 2 come back, the color palettes on ChaosMetalSeadramon and ChaosBlackWargreymon especially looked awesome, not to mention Chaos Lord and NeoCrimson in raw design too.
As for digimon i'd like to see again, I never played the old digimon games, but i'd love to see a return of the Chaos variants of digimon. Whereas Black Variants of digimon are shown to be just that, black variants, the idea of trying to force a digivolution or some virus attacking digimon forcing them to go rampant, turning the digimon into Chaos Variants could very well be explored as a story event, and even appearances in fights against other versions; I'm picturing a Black WarGreymon and a WarGreymon fighting a Chaos WarGreymon, or similarly, a Chaos Seadramon fighting Metal Seadramon. Any version of these would be interesting developments. alternatively, i think using lesser known Digimon like kyukimon provides opportunities to find more Jogress forms.
Not sure as I haven't kept up well with Digimon, but I wouldn't be surprised if they abandoned Snowballmon & Snowmanmon since they were just used for a single Digimon winter commercial back in the day...
Heard of the Virtual Per version 5? Since ExTyrannomon appeared in Ghost Game the latest Digimon anime series, Cyclomon was the last to be in the anime. And according to Wikimon, Shellmon stopped being in the anime since Adventure 02 featuring Daisuke/Davis but its variant and counterpart, MoriShellmon, appeared in Ghost Game.
Blackguilmon's line, while extremely cool looking, always felt redundant given Guilmon is already virus attribute. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't wipe them from canon or anything, just an observation. I'd personally be really interested in seeing a vaccine version of the Guilmon line (Growmon orange filling the data niche).
One of the upcoming card game sets (I think BT-19?) is said to be focused on the Xros Wars manga, so it’s possible we’ll see some of those Digimon in the TCG soon (I am holding out hope for Panbachimon)

If we're getting Light Fang/Night Claw archetypes, we can have Grimmon, can't we? As a treat??? I'm also partial to Metamormon from V-Tamer and I'm rather sad we haven't seen any love for the big morphy blob creature. If we got Callismon I gotta hope for Metamormon, but idk, might be waiting a while on that one lmao. Same holds true for a few other V-Tamer mons actually (including the scrapped mons--- I love Panimon as a bipedal mega for Mephismon, even if I had to go through the trouble of figuring out what it would look like for the OC I have it as the mega for). Regulumon as well, though with Regulusmon I can see that getting tremendously confusing quick. There's also ChaosPiedmon, but at least there's a model for them in DMO. ChaosSeadramon also deserves to exist in an official capacity, I think. I'd like to see both of them in the Card Game, at least. Tbh the games are gold mines for this stuff, and if we could have a set that just focuses on video game exclusive variants or digital entities, I think it would be REALLY cool. If we can get D-REAPER agents or Yggdrasil's terminal as cards, why can't we see something like Overlord Gaia or the Eaters (I know those are recent, but still--- it'd be an excuse to give more Yggdrasil forms cards which is very silly and extra to me). Idk, it's unlikely, but I think it would be a great opportunity to give some love to Digimon's history. Hell, if we also include weird digital entities from the manga, NEXT also has Neo and Mikihara Norn. I know this vid's technically about just Digimon but one can daydream about indulgent card sets, can't they, lmao?
I really want Gallantmon: Chaos Mode to come back. I know it only appeared as a ChaosGallantmon colored version of the figure that allowed Gallantmon to become Crimson Mode, but it’s such a neat idea. The dark gunmetal grey and chthonic purple color scheme of ChaosGallantmon is so striking, and seeing it as a dark variant of Crimson Mode is just awesome. Sadly, we don’t even know if the figure is canon, or just an attempt by Bandai to squeeze a few extra bucks out of the Evolving Gallantmon figure mold. But maybe, one day, it’ll be added to the reference book
Probably been mentioned by others but given BT19 for the card game is to be based on the Xros Wars manga, I imagine ReverseWeddinmon has a good chance, but I do doubt OchiMusyamon will ever get any attention. As for a Digimon I would love to see get more love is Silver Taomon! That and Silver Kyubimon are such neat variants that need exposure outside of Next Order and Hyper Colosseum.

Skullknightsmon's body plan could easily be seen as DarkKnightmon in one of those t rex rancher costumes too. Its still very humanoid and not just a sick and twisted greymon 2010
the mutant variants are also propably never coming back, witch is a shame becuase mutant lilithmon whoud be the best mega level for archnemon untill they actualy give us a mega level spider
If there's a KingSukamon, I feel a KingDivermon isn't so far-fetched to show up again one day.
Yeah there's also a KingEtemon. King variants of Digimon aren't unprecedented! I think it's kinda cool.

BlackGuilmon, RookChessmon, Divermon, Bagramon confirmed going to be in the next Digimon console game. Every time Karn does this we wind up seeing digimon get revived.
man there are so many Digimon I want to see more of Tinmon, Rockmon, Petitmamon, MedievalGallantmon, Bun, the DarkKnightmon + Blastmon fusion, and a lot of the Devas. But I am glad Fangmon and Atamadekachimon finally got some appearances in Digimon media. also glad we are past that era where for like 10 years Salamon was excluded from most Digimon media.
The Black Guilmon line is interesting, as there's also two Chaos Dukemon equivalents of Dukemon Crimson Mode who have been abandoned: Gallantmon Chaos Mode, who only existed as a toy exclusive to the US produced during Frontier's airing, and Chaos Dukemon Core, who only appeared in Digimon Story Sunburst

I find it funny that many examples came from the XrossWars Manga, and the next main set for the card game is going to be centered around said manga. So there's hope to see some get an official profile.

Adding to the Digimon V-tamer list: Lykamon, Panimon, and Hermmon. A trio of Mega Digimon made by Neo using Arkadiamon data like Callismon. They were meant to fight Omnimon, Dominimon, and Regulumon, but their fight was scrapped. They still show up in the manga, they just never do anything, their info being on a page detailing that their fight was cut. These are probably the most obscure Digimon from V-tamer jail, because I hardly see any digi-tubers mention them in terms of forgotten Digimon. The Mangaka himself sort of forgot about them.
That said Panimon looks VERY similar to Mephistomon. Maybe it got reworked into that.
there was the Burst Modes from one of the V-pet lines (I forget which one, but a lot of Digimon had a weird Burst transformation)
Also a lot of the game-exclusive Digimon like Cardmon, Grimmon, the Chronomon line, etc
Luminamon Nene is definitely something I never thought would get revisited...

Very possible, it's not really visually filling a similar role or what I would think of as like "Evil Greymon", Greymon is more its mount
If I remember correctly, the black digimon in the Guilmon line is suppose to be it's "natural" evolution line if Guilmon doesn't interact with a tammer in lore, it naturally becomes jaded. So it kinda makes sense there hasn't been a Black Guilmon if regular Guilmon already is.
White RookChessmon, Black Guilmon and KingDivermon are so perfect for the general Digimon roster. It's a real shame that these 3 got pushed aside.
Black Guilmon is the biggest tragedy, its my fav of all time and it not being a card is a CRIME

I remember when the card game had its EX4 reveals, when they revealed the fusion of Blue Flare MetalGreymon and DarkKnightmon into GreyKnightsmon they simultaneously added GreyKnightsmon into the encyclopedia with a brand new art that it didn't have before and that digimon was from the xros wars digimon story game and it was considered one of 3 two opposite army fusions, I was thinking they might actually do the same with now BT19 on the horizon focusing on the xros wars manga and we might get machleomon and its mushed up form, RampageGreymon which is a fusion of MetalGreymon Dorulumon and Ballistamon, to me my most anticipated digixros fusion for them to bring back is the last 2 opposite army fusions which is Shoutmon X3GM and X3SD I highly recommend to look them up they look so freaking cool

I'd love to see the Crimson Chaos Digimon from World 2 come back, the color palettes on ChaosMetalSeadramon and ChaosBlackWargreymon especially looked awesome, not to mention Chaos Lord and NeoCrimson in raw design too.

I’m hoping time after time does happen for the good this time for at least one of these digimon.
As for digimon i'd like to see again, I never played the old digimon games, but i'd love to see a return of the Chaos variants of digimon. Whereas Black Variants of digimon are shown to be just that, black variants, the idea of trying to force a digivolution or some virus attacking digimon forcing them to go rampant, turning the digimon into Chaos Variants could very well be explored as a story event, and even appearances in fights against other versions; I'm picturing a Black WarGreymon and a WarGreymon fighting a Chaos WarGreymon, or similarly, a Chaos Seadramon fighting Metal Seadramon. Any version of these would be interesting developments.
alternatively, i think using lesser known Digimon like kyukimon provides opportunities to find more Jogress forms.

Heard of the Virtual Per version 5? Since ExTyrannomon appeared in Ghost Game the latest Digimon anime series, Cyclomon was the last to be in the anime. And according to Wikimon, Shellmon stopped being in the anime since Adventure 02 featuring Daisuke/Davis but its variant and counterpart, MoriShellmon, appeared in Ghost Game.

Blackguilmon's line, while extremely cool looking, always felt redundant given Guilmon is already virus attribute. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't wipe them from canon or anything, just an observation.
I'd personally be really interested in seeing a vaccine version of the Guilmon line (Growmon orange filling the data niche).

I'm also partial to Metamormon from V-Tamer and I'm rather sad we haven't seen any love for the big morphy blob creature. If we got Callismon I gotta hope for Metamormon, but idk, might be waiting a while on that one lmao. Same holds true for a few other V-Tamer mons actually (including the scrapped mons--- I love Panimon as a bipedal mega for Mephismon, even if I had to go through the trouble of figuring out what it would look like for the OC I have it as the mega for). Regulumon as well, though with Regulusmon I can see that getting tremendously confusing quick.
There's also ChaosPiedmon, but at least there's a model for them in DMO. ChaosSeadramon also deserves to exist in an official capacity, I think. I'd like to see both of them in the Card Game, at least.
Tbh the games are gold mines for this stuff, and if we could have a set that just focuses on video game exclusive variants or digital entities, I think it would be REALLY cool. If we can get D-REAPER agents or Yggdrasil's terminal as cards, why can't we see something like Overlord Gaia or the Eaters (I know those are recent, but still--- it'd be an excuse to give more Yggdrasil forms cards which is very silly and extra to me). Idk, it's unlikely, but I think it would be a great opportunity to give some love to Digimon's history. Hell, if we also include weird digital entities from the manga, NEXT also has Neo and Mikihara Norn. I know this vid's technically about just Digimon but one can daydream about indulgent card sets, can't they, lmao?

I really want Gallantmon: Chaos Mode to come back. I know it only appeared as a ChaosGallantmon colored version of the figure that allowed Gallantmon to become Crimson Mode, but it’s such a neat idea. The dark gunmetal grey and chthonic purple color scheme of ChaosGallantmon is so striking, and seeing it as a dark variant of Crimson Mode is just awesome. Sadly, we don’t even know if the figure is canon, or just an attempt by Bandai to squeeze a few extra bucks out of the Evolving Gallantmon figure mold. But maybe, one day, it’ll be added to the reference book

Probably been mentioned by others but given BT19 for the card game is to be based on the Xros Wars manga, I imagine ReverseWeddinmon has a good chance, but I do doubt OchiMusyamon will ever get any attention. As for a Digimon I would love to see get more love is Silver Taomon! That and Silver Kyubimon are such neat variants that need exposure outside of Next Order and Hyper Colosseum.
