Sergei Polunin is a Ukrainian-born ballet dancer. Famous for his “once every hundred years” talent, he has incredulous elevation and impeccable technique. From an early age, he displayed glorious dramatic range. Home videos of him as a tiny boy improvising to Pavarotti are very foretelling. At age 19, he became the Royal Ballet’s youngest ever male principal dancer.
Ballet gained an unprecedented new awareness when he danced in Hozier’s viral video ”Take Me To Church.” People who would never
have paid any attention to ballet began to watch the tattooed phenom. He is generally attributed with bringing ballet to the modern common man. Classical, yet cutting edge, Sergei starred in Diesel’s “Make Love Not Walls” campaign and has put his mark on many other promotions.
Sergei is a much sought after model and actor. Fashion designers love his breathtaking physique and brooding good looks. He has garnered only positive reviews for his acting. His appearances include Kenneth Branagh's adaptation of the Orient Express, the biographical documentary Dancer, The White Crow, and Red Sparrow.

The last one made me almost cry...
The face and the eyes of Sergei show his inner heart: honesty, innocence, strength. He just cannot be a bad boy. And to see him laughing makes me happy. I whish him much strength ( for to be able to fight against the "Red") and divine Inspiraion for his art.

I have always thought, from my point of view as a portraitist, that Polunin's face has the suggestive, very masculine appeal of being an imperfect beauty, and that that makes it singularly magnetic. His features are not classic, they have discreet imbalances, which make up a face of priceless expressive richness, of a tremendous ability to embody human emotions, to the point of transforming with each photograph. I thank you, dear Pam, that your video closes with that beautiful expression, so melancholy, despite his smile, of a Sergei Polunin in the full charm of his puberty. It is charming, sweet and evocative.

What I see is a beautiful person -inside and outside- with wisdom, strength, humanity and knows which way he wants to walk. That is Sergie Polunin... the greatist male dancer of the world and find them self in the most amazing performance and expression find himself at the way he want to go. So is life so he have found what he want. For me, who love ballet, is the "Sergei Polinun" way the best way in a new era.

Gracious. Had to watch this twice. His smile is so endearing but his serious expressions hit so heavily that you can almost feel his complexity. And aw, baby Sergei at the end - that was adorable. Thanks for another one, Pam!

When he looks directly into the camera, it's as though he looks through you. The first time I saw that in one of your videos it startled me but, like a magnet, they drew me in..couldn't take my eyes off. His emotional honesty is inspiring!

Ugh, I am so envious of people with light eyes 😆. My grandfather and youngest cousin have beautiful, deep blue eyes, but my dad got my grandmas light brown ones. Mine are just your plain, run of the mill brown, between my dad's and my mom's almost black ones 😂. Sergei's are just so pretty- and you have some fantastic photos of him too. I especially loved the one at 2:40. Thank you again :)
I've got brown eyes as well. Always wanted green to go with my red hair. Glad you liked the pics... it's a tough job gathering pics of Sergei but I battle through it lol. 🕶

Tara R Doubt that's what was meant. Not about envy; I have dark eyes, which have been admired but have also always wanted green. It's about having what you don't have, not about being envious in a nasty way.

yukil dom yeah... it’s a Slavic gene...my eyes are blue with some yellow inside that makes it green or even grey sometimes. We Ukrainians have this pale skin and grayish hair... I used to call myself a gray mouse! That’s why I’m attracted to dark tall and handsome men! Ha ha ha! I love Sergei he made me realize that Ukrainian men are beautiful even though he is not considered a handsome man by the average Ukrainian standards!

How strange it must feel to be him knowing that probably 50% of the women in the audience will leave the theater in love with him!
I'd be willing to bet that number is a bit low. There is something other worldly and mystical when occupying the same air space as Sergei. I saw him dance live in Sacramento CA when he toured with guitarist Estas Tonne. Tonne played onstage for a while before Sergei entered the stage and began to dance. The atmosphere of the theater immediately changed. You could feel it. The molecules in the room started bouncing off every surface. After the performance I exited the theater through a narrow hallway backstage. It was my fortune to turn a corner and come face to face with Sergei. We passed shoulder to shoulder and both continued on our way. He was practically glowing. I walked on, too flabbergasted to think to say a word to him, but that was my fondest moment of that night. It plays over in my memories every once in a while. But in my memory we're walking in slow motion lol.
@@PamBoehmeSimon I heard about that Sacto performance. I live about an hour and a half away from Sacramento, and I just feel SICK that I missed it. Never had a clue that he was coming here! 🙁
