Where is big ounce when you need him
RIP BIG OUNCE
Prairie dogs are such cute little creatures that lives in the hole in the middle of the grassland called prairie so they can hide from scary animals such as coyotes, hawks and rattlesnakes.
Yep, the key to the Badlands is; "looking out for each other...!!"
Badgers and Coyotes have a Symbiotic relationship, the Badger Digs them out and the Coyote cover the other holes they Escape thru.
Big ounce cured my depression
Prairie dog: Hallelujah the coyote is gone!
In 1977 after high school graduation my friends and I took a road trip from the east coast as far as Utah. We stopped in the Badlands for a couple of days. It was amazing for a few east coast kids who had never even heard of the Badlands. I took my kids there in 2001. It’s a wonderful place to visit. I remember watching the prairie dogs for a couple of hours one day. Yeah we were easily amused.
You must've never had TV or went to the movies.
@@b_uppy I have always been fascinated with the West and nature in general. Now in retirement I spend most of my free time, skiing, mountain biking and long distance backpacking. I always regret not moving out west when I was young. I now travel there a few times a year to hike and ski. Your right I don’t watch much TV. Take care
@@mtadams2009
You never watched TV as a kid to have missed out on the Badlands in Westerns an stuff,

Yooo they made Big Ounce a real thing?!
Gone sus?

Love them ❤
I can testify that they don't yet have a signal for "dude with a gun over there".
The rifle being a 22-250 and sitting out about 200 to 300 yards away. The doggies sit and chirp than BOOM, out go the lights.
Very intelligent and beautiful animals 😀
The key to thriving is for looking out for each other. ☺️😊

I have some prairie dog buddies at one of my bus stops I have got them to eat chocolate from my hand they are severely addicted to the chocolate now and every morning they are all standing at the bus stop waiting for me to get there I really wanna pet them and I'm sure they would let me but I'm afraid of diseases they might have so I dont
too cautious they dont carry disease normally
How do u take that video?😂

Primantises eat crickets
thats not a dog
The coyote is a species of wild dog. A prairie dog is also known as a barking squirrel-- I had to look it up, because not too many people will know what you're talking about if you use that term. Of course a prairie dog is not a dog.
How can you call it a dog where it is a rodent and looks like squirrel or beavers. 😏
most of the gophers taken out are by hawks. there is a different alarm chirp for airborne threats.
not gophers

This was aggressively American.
What does that even mean? yeah it takes place in the U.S. durrr
@@kylem1112 the way the information is presented. Nature documentaries from the US are dramatic, like watching an action movie.
@@eaglebreath5 Where are you from? i still don't get it. I guess the accent and tone is not soft enough for you?
@@eaglebreath5sounds pretty xenophobic if you're upset on how Americans talk, especially in the context of wildlife here in the states. Dumbest thing i probably ever heard.
@@kylem1112 welp, my bad. I did not intend to offend Americans. It would appear aggressive has a more negative connotation than I expected.

Humans are most safe but animals day to day problems live her life
John Thune, Republican US Senator of South Dakota, the state where Badlands National Park is located says this about prairie dogs: "in my state, they [ranchers & farmers] use them [AR-15s] to shoot prairie dogs and, you know, other types of varmints."
Republican thinking on nature, the environment & gun control in a nutshell.
They can be problematic. Have you seen animals get broken legs from prairie dog holes? They are also sources of disease to other creatures, as well as other problems.
Your comment reflects on you rather than than Repubs...
Their colonies can take over your yard. When I was a kid I used to sit on the back porch with a 22 and take them out. We also flooded their colonies with the hose from the house. No apologies.
Let me guess. Ar-15s are magical and only cause mass shootings? Idk what idealistic dems think. The only reason police have the power they do is because people like you think its a good idea to disarm people. If you knew anything about history you'd understand why disarming the population always leads to disaster.
