Ok so to clear any confusion for the title:
Swans are known to sing a beautiful song right before dying; they know that their death is coming. Dua Lipa says in the chorus “This is not a swan song”, meaning that this isn’t her last song (her last “fight”, as she’s supposed to be Alita in this video) and that she’s not dying.

I saw the movie without knowing anything about it. I had low expectations, I was just there to see something for the sake of it, not to specifically see _Alita: Battle Angel_ but I was genuinely, pleasantly surprised. The storyline was interesting, the CGI was intense but not bad and the romance wasn't extremely cringeworthy, if a little cheesy. The vibe I got at the end of the movie (and after learning it was based on a manga) was that the story is far from finished and without a doubt, there will be another movie in a year or so. Looking forward to it!!
It was like 15 chapters of 50 of one of the mangas and a character from the OVA.
I feel you. I had low expectation before watching as the review was low. But I like the movie in general. I am not satisfied with the story telling and the pace of the movie. The movie was heavily condensed, with too much information and too little time to tell a good story. The CG was on spot! U just cant find a better one anywhere else. I really like the main character Alita. I really hope they will make a second, even third part of the movie. Therefore, I plan to watch it again in IMAX.
I want another movie too, but Fox need 170 million to think in another movie, and Alita only have 41 million. :(
Rat React actually it’s $41 million locally world wide so far it’s more like 100-130 million and is going to be released in China and Japan this Friday but I think it will require more than $170 million I think more like $350 million maybe but China and Japan may still get enough money to warrant a sequel
@Jason Petty I really hope so. but based on reviews on China's imdb, it is currently around 7 points out of 10. Plus, its original manga was not as famous as "The Ghost", so not sure how much money it will make in China. Hope for the best...
I love the Alita battle angel. I’ve seen it two times and I want to go and see it again. I recommend seeing it because I am one of the many people who want the film to do well at the box office so that we can get an Alita 2.

I just watched the movie. Exciting! Don't believe a word of what the critics said. This movie is worth every dollar I spent. I am thinking of going to watch it the second time. The fight scenes are awesome. The CGI is so realistic. Much better than AVATAR. Go for it!It's the new Matrix. It feels fresh and new and it pushes the limits of cinema. This has to be one of the most creative music videos I've ever seen. "Alita Battle Angel" has to be one of my favourite films and this song from the end credits is so cool and this music video of "Swan Song" has to be even cooler for its artistic imagery . Dua Lipa's voice is utterly gorgeous and to cap it off she looks as haunted as she sounds, also given she's wearing all black which actually makes her look like the black swan to Alita's white swan as Alita begins to decipher her true origins and take back the rights that she has as a young woman and an individual to the original course that she led in a new body in a new life. This is 100% a truly favourite song and music video by Due Lipa for sure.

As someone who is reading the Alita battle angel manga this really shows what Alita is all about, she has fought and fought, almost till her last breathe. But she never stopped since the supposed meaning of the song is this isn’t her last song/battle, she won’t stay quiet/she won’t stop. She’ll always fight no matter what!

I didn't know this before, but a swan song is a final gesture or performance before death/retirement. This is a good song, but it suddenly becomes so much better when you understand the lyrics

I just watched this movie , it's amazing... felt like I was there , James Cameron did this with Avatar aswell , amazing movie , I don't know why the Critics are giving it some average reviews , it's brilliant.

The critics are really rude towards any small mistake in the movie, while the audience often just didn't see these little mistakes (or saw them but didn't care) and was just there to appreciate a movie. As a fan of the manga and film, there's just one thing I don't like with the film : The kinda-cringy relation between Alita and Hugo. But everything else is just amazing.
Because they have no idea how much work does it cost to create movies like this! It's VERY EASY to criticise what is already created and shown...
It's robert rodriguez's, ... i'm a huge fans of many of his works. He always make everything looks manly cool. Just like sin city, once upon in mexico, machete, or even rose mcgowan legs in planet terror. Although james cameron is a great director as well, but he's just a producer in Alita. Robert is the one we should give credit to.

Yep, it started in 1990 and is still going on! The mangas called Battle Angel Alita (Gunm is the Japanese title) and is easily in my top 2 manga/anime of all time. You should definitely check it out, Yukito Kishiro is an amazing artist and storyteller.
@@robert.mcdonald It's actually one of the most iconic manga to make it outside of Japan... probably only surpassed by the likes of Ghost in the Shell, Akira and Dragon Ball in terms of recognisability. I'm surprised you haven't heard by now given the _considerable_ controversy stirred up by fans who didn't want Hollywood to touch it.
That banger should have got the orchestral treatment for her Royal Albert Hall's special last December. The interlude/bridge is epic as it's interwoven with Tom Holkenborg's Motorball/Alita theme. Can't believe she never performed it live. The movie and its song are cult status now.
