She wasn't ahead of her time. She just wasn't blind and called everything out. Yall are just stuck in the past and are blind of the present, ruining the future.

she was an ARTIST here. (most) her audience unfortunately did not meet this level. that’s why it wasn’t a hit compared to her other stuff at least. but she NAILED IT. out of the box while in the box. smart people get this. probably my favorite. I like her basic stuff as well. ❤
And now shes taumatized. Look at her recent posts about blm. All of them are just shared posts and links and she didn’t insert her own words in them because shes is afraid that people are gonna twist her words again.
Look at the minute 1:30 as they want to take us all like zombies, blind, following the rhythm towards "1984" (1984 it's a George Orwell novel centres on the consequences of government over-reach, totalitarianism, mass surveillance, and repressive regimentation of all persons and behaviours within society.) Shall we take off the rose-colored glasses and do we do something to avoid it or will we follow "their rhythm" obediently without doing anything?
The world has been this way for eons. Zappa wrote music in the '60s about this same thing. Listen to, We're only in it for the money. And try to get the lyrics at the same time.
These lyrics " so comfortable were living in a bubble, bubble, so comfortable we cannot see the trouble, trouble." make so much sense. Trying to warn us for all these years and we didn't notice because we cant see the trouble, we just think were stuck living in a perfect bubble (world).
@beautiful mind I hope so too. But as an American I'll tell you for a fact that this nation is being controlled by Evangelicals (extreme form of Christianity). Very very deep. Everyone in this world seems to be chained to the rhythm which symbolizes social media or trending thoughts. Most of us have fell into the life of "parrot", we speak what others are speaking, we do what others are doing, we play what others are playing, we wear what others are wearing, even those things are NOT comfortable or suitable for us. We follow everyone else's steps, we lose our own style, we lose our own comfortable way of living, we lose our own creative thinking. What are the things left? Just brains without minds, thoughts without ideas and bodies without souls. We are all manipulated, we are all modified, we are all chained to the rhythm.
we are controlled by what we love. sex - porn, drama - netflix, intellect - internet, food - MacDonald's, validation - Facebook. our whole nature is reprogrammed. slaves in our own mind.
I guess that's why the song doesn't connect with me because I couldn't give half a fuck about what the world likes lol I despise almost all of the overrated things in life. Such as Katy Perry and this awful song.

@@lnoza6809 false. That was actually a really good episode... the fact she played that role with the given subject matter also rings to some truth in that episode about reality.
Katy Perry's "Chained to the Rhythm" delivers a subtle but powerful social commentary wrapped in an infectious pop melody. The song critiques how people live in a "bubble" of comfort, oblivious or indifferent to larger societal problems. The metaphor of being "chained to the rhythm" reflects how individuals are trapped in repetitive, unthinking cycles of consumption, entertainment, and routine, while ignoring more critical issues like inequality, injustice, or environmental concerns. The line "so comfortable, we’re living in a bubble, bubble" points to how modern society prioritizes comfort and entertainment over self-awareness and social action. Perry's collaboration with Skip Marley, who brings a reggae-infused bridge, reinforces this message, calling for awakening and revolution. In essence, the song’s message seems to be a wake-up call to break free from the distractions of modern life and engage more actively in the world’s problems rather than passively living in a comfortable yet shallow existence.
The fact that someone like Katy Perry risked her career to put this message out, *and that message flew over people's head* ... Wow, the problem is worse than I thought...
yea..but didnt she directly contribute with this song. She made this song, people thought the beat was nice and all, and all the money the song made went to capitalistic idiots. Didnt achieve much. and katy's lyrics have never been her strong point. seems kinda hypocritical to say this message when most of the money is going back to the people it criticizes
@@aamir6892 Not to mention, but this song has a lot of possible interpretations. Everyone who listened to the lyrics beyond the chorus knows it's a social critique, but people disagree on what it's critiquing. Is it criticizing people's inability to express their own opinions, or express them in a healthy way? Or does it criticize capitialism in the music industry? I think that Katy had good intentions, but she could've chose one specific theme and stuck to it, and I do agree that if her message was the first priority, she should've self-produced the song.
She didn't...The elite WANT this message out, and they did it for all artist, They prepare you for their own events, and plans, and they also prepare how you will react. Example, lets say they prepare people for an alien invasion with movie propaganda (pretty much) and music , It happens and the people have been prepared yet we believe the whistle blowers on t.v risked their lives, But what if it is a government manufactured invasion and you were SUPPOSED to accept it and know about it... Former respected nasa employees have outright said it's true, But they don't care , This is an extreme example but this is my point
They take what you love and they use it to destroy you or they take what You LOVE till You have nothing left to love and you destroy yourself by what you thought you once loved.

KATY PERRY IS BEING SABOTAGED BY CAPITOL RECORDS, HERE'S WHY AND HOW. (A THREAD) 1) In 2017, Katy released a political song Chained To The Rhythm, before that she was very vocal in politics, CTTR did pretty well on charts. But then she released Bon Appetit with Migos. Migos is an openly transphobic trio and Katy is LGBT+ supporter. Which means Capitol forced her 2) Bon Appetit was set to release solo but it got a feature on it on the last minute, and Katy got so much hate from it. When she was accused of being transphobic, her team did NOTHING to fix her image. 3) In 2018, Capitol's CEO confirmed that they were "disappointed" by Witness' unsuccess. And stated that they have a plan for Katy that they're excited for. But nothing happened in 2018. You can read his full conversation here 4)Katy released Harley's In Hawaii in 2019, which was a fan-favourite, was the fastest Katy Perry song ever to enter iTunes USA Top 10. But the song wasnt sent to the radios, it got sent later when the hype died down. 5)What is more strange about this is that even though HIH was so fast to enter the top 10, the song wouldnt come up when you searched it on iTunes. The song fell so quick. It lasted only 10 days on the chart even though its sudden success 6)Katy released Daisies, her lead single from her album earlier this year along with the music video. Daisies went #1 on iTunes and managed to say in the chart for over a month. But however, the song wasnt sent to the radios. 7)as you can see from the song's chart success, the song got out of the itunes chart after four weeks of release. The song was sent to the radios right after it got out of the chart, but the hype was already dead. and after 2 weeks, the song was taken back from the radios 8)Smile performance video was posted on RUclips without Katy knowing, after it got posted by her team, they deleted it. And posted it again on the right time. But the video already had over 500k views before they deleted. Also reminder that Smile was leaked 2 months before release. 9)Why would Capitol sabotage Katy, why is it good for them? Katy has a 5 album contract with capitol which ends with Smile, and Capitol doesnt want her to be a rival to them if she goes to an another company. 10)Katy is the only executive producer of Smile, which means she financed the album with her own money, because Capitol didnt financially support her 11)an average album is most likely to get 100 to 300 million playlist support from Spotify, but Smile only got 35 million. Also the whole album got leaked before its release by her own label, they sent the vinyls and cds to fans almost 2 weeks before release.

most people don't hear the messages in this song "We’re all chained to the rhythm" "You think we’re free?" shes probably hinting at the music industry producing and demanding more music
Well, it's a lot of things. It's technically not super deep, but it's one of my favorite songs of hers simply 'cause it's just like points at how we stick to the status quo of society even if it hurts us little, simply because it feels safe. Change is necessary to improve. But change is also scary, so we stick to what we know. That's why the song is about people chained to the rhythm, even though they can leave at any point. No one wants to leave because they feel safe where they are, even though we all know that something ain't right about that place.
This song actually explains how the world we are living in was damaged by social media and people keep shuttering their eyes without being able to see what they have become. Sad but true.

The message Katy Perry gave us was amazing. The worst part is, everyone canceled it. Now karma is hitting us. We love you Katy
Look at the minute 1:30 as they want to take us all like zombies, blind, following the rhythm towards "1984" (1984 it's a George Orwell novel centres on the consequences of government over-reach, totalitarianism, mass surveillance, and repressive regimentation of all persons and behaviours within society.)
Shall we take off the rose-colored glasses and do we do something to avoid it or will we follow "their rhythm" obediently without doing anything?

This song has so much meaning to how the world is right now
The world has been this way for eons. Zappa wrote music in the '60s about this same thing. Listen to, We're only in it for the money. And try to get the lyrics at the same time.
Even more now
These lyrics " so comfortable were living in a bubble, bubble, so comfortable we cannot see the trouble, trouble." make so much sense. Trying to warn us for all these years and we didn't notice because we cant see the trouble, we just think were stuck living in a perfect bubble (world).
This is gaining popularity now. So relevant. She's been ahead of everyone then.

Thank you..
The fact that someone like Katy Perry risked her career to put this message out, *and that message flew over people's head* ... Wow, the problem is worse than I thought...
artists of such a level as Katy Perry are part of the system, they are directly part of its influence on the masses
yea..but didnt she directly contribute with this song.

KATY PERRY IS BEING SABOTAGED BY CAPITOL RECORDS, HERE'S WHY AND HOW. (A THREAD)
1) In 2017, Katy released a political song Chained To The Rhythm, before that she was very vocal in politics, CTTR did pretty well on charts. But then she released Bon Appetit with Migos. Migos is an openly transphobic trio and Katy is LGBT+ supporter. Which means Capitol forced her
2) Bon Appetit was set to release solo but it got a feature on it on the last minute, and Katy got so much hate from it. When she was accused of being transphobic, her team did NOTHING to fix her image.
3) In 2018, Capitol's CEO confirmed that they were "disappointed" by Witness' unsuccess. And stated that they have a plan for Katy that they're excited for. But nothing happened in 2018. You can read his full conversation here
4)Katy released Harley's In Hawaii in 2019, which was a fan-favourite, was the fastest Katy Perry song ever to enter iTunes USA Top 10. But the song wasnt sent to the radios, it got sent later when the hype died down.
5)What is more strange about this is that even though HIH was so fast to enter the top 10, the song wouldnt come up when you searched it on iTunes. The song fell so quick. It lasted only 10 days on the chart even though its sudden success
6)Katy released Daisies, her lead single from her album earlier this year along with the music video. Daisies went #1 on iTunes and managed to say in the chart for over a month. But however, the song wasnt sent to the radios.
7)as you can see from the song's chart success, the song got out of the itunes chart after four weeks of release. The song was sent to the radios right after it got out of the chart, but the hype was already dead. and after 2 weeks, the song was taken back from the radios
8)Smile performance video was posted on RUclips without Katy knowing, after it got posted by her team, they deleted it.
10)Katy is the only executive producer of Smile, which means she financed the album with her own money, because Capitol didnt financially support her
11)an average album is most likely to get 100 to 300 million playlist support from Spotify, but Smile only got 35 million. Also the whole album got leaked before its release by her own label, they sent the vinyls and cds to fans almost 2 weeks before release.

This song gives me chills, the message is there and it's 100% true. "Dance, dance to the distortion" = "Work, work to the distortion. "
Did it take listening to a Katy Perry song for you to realize that?
yes, it's amazing !
@@br5500it's just weird that katy perry would make this song since she's a part of the illuminati
@@billysanchez-eh6nndude u see illuminati wrong. Artist are jailed in contracts with evil, but they are not all bad. They just get text and sing. Once they get over contrqct they can do what they want . Or they are mocking us with this song.
No its not like that. Dance means dance. Music is distortion to slavery

Lissandra ❤️ x Katy Perry ❤️
“and we about to riot”
Katy totally deserved so much better than what society gave her during this Era. I’ve been a die hard KatyKat since my childhood. And it honestly just breaks my heart that her toxic fans turned against her during this era.
No matter what happens though, I still stay a KatyKat til the world ends.❤️

@@TN-ph1fq *Promotional single.. singles are Daisies and never really over.. others are just promo

Just as relevant as when she released this in 2017 😪 nothing has been learned.
most people don't hear the messages in this song
"We’re all chained to the rhythm"
"You think we’re free?"
shes probably hinting at the music industry producing and demanding more music
Well, it's a lot of things. It's technically not super deep, but it's one of my favorite songs of hers simply 'cause it's just like points at how we stick to the status quo of society even if it hurts us little, simply because it feels safe. Change is necessary to improve. But change is also scary, so we stick to what we know. That's why the song is about people chained to the rhythm, even though they can leave at any point. No one wants to leave because they feel safe where they are, even though we all know that something ain't right about that place.
I think it's about society as a whole, not only the music industry
I mean it’s pretty straightforward lyrics.
I relive it’s about the illumanty and she is trying to break free
Believe*
This song actually explains how the world we are living in was damaged by social media and people keep shuttering their eyes without being able to see what they have become. Sad but true.
Literally and when she says “we cannot see the trouble” it’s people taking pictures…
Me encantan tus canciones
More damage to come. 😑
She herself is a part of it.
"Time is ticking for the empire" -- which empire??
Stop....
It's about the news, politics and corporations.
I think this is Katy's best music video and her most meaningful song ever.
Bon Appetit is meaningful too
@@meer9516 I don't know. That music video is weird and overly sexual.
@@meer9516 Bon Apetit is meaningful but Chained To The Rhythm you can see clearly
Rise too!
Unconditionally and The one that got away is good as well. I say all of her songs are meaningful and have their own meanings. Roar is another good one too.
it's crazy how this song gets more relevant in 2024
it feels like this song only just came out
Fr I remb this song first coming out playing it on Apple Music😅
Feels like this when I'm rolling to this song, I have slowly made up a dance routine, so far I only have the chorus, but it's hard to remember the new moves I create every time when my eyes are rolling at the back of my head lol.
I agree .I only heard it a short while ago and have not stopped listening to it I don't know how many people I have shared it with
It’s scary how deep this song is 😔
Way to deep.... en way to much like how it is now.... we made our lives a hell hole.... lets pray for everyones lives en for our grandparents en for everyone!
Especially this year. It’s eerie
Its sad that only now people are just seeing it. 🤫
Omg I didn’t expect this many likes! It went from ten to 186 really quick, thanks 😅
Peachylife we didn’t make our lives a hell hole, our ancestors did! ... they are the ones who went along with the program, allowing the system to evolve into a human slave breeding prison... FYI Saudi Arabia own the entire planet earth and are the Illuminati/deep state/secret society/free masons
This is honestly Katy's most pretty song she's ever done.

Sorry it took too long for some to understand this masterpiece. Sorry for the backlash you had to face, Katy. They woke up the lions.
Yeah I noticed after this video her label didn't promote her as much. Harley's in Hawaii should've been pushed way more since it's a bop.
what backlash did she receive?
Nasirrr a lot for being “fake woke” and making false attempts to be deep when she was really just trying to make us realise how fucked everything is in our world then after she got dragged to filth for everything she did she didn’t deserve it she was trying to make us aware
As a kid this music video disturbed me, even though everyone seemed happy something felt very wrong. I remember avoiding it & not liking it. Now rewatching it I think I get it now. Katy Perry really has great songs.
Me too! It is kind of weird for me to see everybody so happy, yet the words depicting something so...different. It was like people were almost hypnotized. However, the same as you, I started listening to it again.
for me whos live in Brazil, its much true, some have enough to live in paradise unecessary and others so too poor have to found food in trash.
As a kid? This song came out in 2017 lol
@Lewis Perry Lol, I was abt to say that :)
As a kid? are you a time Traveller maybe 50 yo? 🙄

This song describes life cycle, from the day we are born into existence, followed by growth, into maturity & eventually we decline.
It goes oooon and oooon and ooooon
It has a lot of other things too. Her song is very deep 😞
She thought she understood life, but finally the rose coloured glasses came off. And she saw her life for what it was: a proverbial cycle to nowhere. Sad
@@ccccandycane it's about taking things as they are without questioning them and accepting whatever the government feeds us. and many people didn't realise the depth of the lyrics: the fact that that's the message of the song too "chained to the rhythm" rather than the lyrics.
Katy Perry warned yall in 2017 but yall chose to cancel her instead!!
She was always right and people ignored her, sorry katy
