The lack of garbage cans saved me when I was in japan for a school trip.
My group abandoned me late at night, on our first night, while I was three trains away from our hotel. I had no idea where I was, and ended up having to go to a police station for help. Noticing they had a trash can, I asked if i could dispose of the garbage I had been holding onto. The officer notices a receipt from 7-11, grabs it out of the trash and asks "is this near your hotel?" They pull out a map, look up the hotel's in the area, gave them a call, found my teacher, then put me in a cab.
The teacher had no idea he left me. I made him pay the fare.

I went to Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea almost exactly 10 years ago. Thank you for helping me relive my trip. Japan is incredible and I'm happy you got the opportunity to visit.
The theme for Sinbad, "Compass of your Heart", was written by Alen Manken! There's an English version available too, it's friggin' cool!

I have wanted to visit Tokyo Disney Sea more than any other Disney Park in the world (speaking as a mega Disney Park fan for over 50 years)...and Chris, you have succeeded in making me want to visit Tokyo Disney Sea even more than I did before!! What an unbelievable video about an unbelievable place!!
No parks anywhere in the world hold a candle to the ones in Japan. Their culture is just so focused on cleanliness and service to the customer.
They're not called 'Lands', they're called 'Ports of Call' :p (Mediterranean Harbor, American Waterfront, Port Discovery, Lost River Delta, Arabian Coast, Mermaid Lagoon and Mysterious Island! ) I'm so glad to be along the ride and seeing you discover this great park! :D Tokyo Disney is known for having rare characters walking around. I saw the Three Caballeros while I was there myself!

Thanks for the memories! TDS certainly has the highest level of detail of any park world wide. It’s such a unique place and the perfect compliment for a second gate. I really hope you’ll be able to see Believe on your next day there. It’s the most technologically advanced spectacular in the world and also such an amazing story which can be lost somewhat without speaking the language. Hopefully it will still make sense!

Welcome to Japan!! I'm afraid you might get soaked at Tokyo Disneyland today. There was always heavy rain on the first day of major anniversaries of the park. So Japanese people call Mickey as Ame-otoko （雨男） or Rain-man, which means "he has a supernatural power and always brings the rain wherever he goes". Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip in Japan.

Slightly jealous of Japan's superior Indiana Jones ride. My parents went to DisneySea years ago and I wanted to know all about the rides, but they mostly had stories of popcorn flavors. C'mon!
What’s crazy is the buildings for the Mira costa are painted except the windows! It’s so realistic.

Awesome video Chris! It's interesting to me how immersive and beautiful DisneySea is. It looks so natural, almost like a historical town. Also, there's much less Disney theming/branding than the USA Disney parks.
That's because the Asian disney parks are not owned by Disney.

I've seen video from the 20,000 leagues under the sea ride and it's fantastic. I would say it's one to not miss. The fact that the US doesn't have ione is criminal.
And the wait time is usually pretty short!

This video is fantastic! Thank you for sharing your experience. Jiminy cricket is one of my favorites. Duffy's dog and bunny friend are super adorable. Indiana Jones, the volcano, and The Little Mermaid look super fun! Also, I don't think I would like the popcorn but anything spicy, absolutely, all day everyday 🥵🔥!!!

The tickets are very affordable (compared to the park tickets at Disneyland/WDW). Airfare will be pricey though

Thank you for not only sharing your video of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Sea, but also all the history. I am a huge buff when it comes to behind the stories of rides and such. My favorite thing to do when I am visiting a park is finding what I call “Disney Details” which are fun things that are “hidden” but right in front of you if you know where to look. Love the Main Street vehicles! My bucket list is to visit all Disney theme parks. Your vlogs just get me wanting to go so bad. 😊😊

Chris- I can't tell you how much I enjoyed experiencing Tokyo Disney Sea with you. I'm amazed how they call their "lands" ports which I find very fascinating. Their animatronics on their attractions look very next level compared to the U.S. parks. What really stood out to me in the video is the Mermaid Lagoon, I really liked all the details they put into that port. Soy sauce buttered popcorn sounds like an interesting treat and I wouldn't mind giving that a try. I hope to experience this park, I could spend hours. BTW, I just purchased a PPP sweatshirt and I'm waiting for it to come
So we just did our California vacation and enjoyed Disneyland and California Adventure as well as Universal and Knotts. We enjoyed all your videos leading up to the trip and your tips and advise and recommendations and money saving tips helped ua plan our trip a lot. We had talked about the next trip being Japan so your videos this week are providential! Thank you for the experience. Hope this is encouraging.

@@mergitthefrog Did you do that with children under age 10 though? I have 3 young children and my children would be pretty sleep deprived if we did that.
@deboraherickson No. Just two Disney Adults. Two adults who enjoyed Disneyland among other things to do and see in Southern California to be more accurate. We had a busy but more spread out 10 days to enjoy the vacation. Did Wrestlemania. Did San Diego Zoo. Disney. Knotts. and Universal. And had an afternoon to lounge around the hotel pool.
You're right, the younger the kids the slower and shorter your days will be. But young kids are infinitely more entertained by simpler attractions like the playgrounds at Redwood Creek and ToonTown than ride lineups for attractions they can't even get on to. They like pizza and popcorn and candy. So your vacation plans don't need to be as elaborate, your days can and probably will be shorter too. Do make time to do things for yourselves too though. The whole vacation was amazing, even as adults in theme parks full of things for kids.
And get the fast passes. For all the parks! It's money well spent.

If you're talking about Aquatopia, they're actually a trackless wheeled vehicle!
@@Undrave I saw them in the background at the beginning of the video and got all excited in my comment, but when Chris showed the ride later I realized they were very different. Our old Disney “boats” were like little round bumper cars on water, with joysticks to steer (if I remember correctly…I was pretty young!).
@@donnab2520 I think they might have been the hovercar types? They still exist out there in other parks. Aquatopia is still a fun time, there's two side to the attraction and when you ride it you can be taken on any number of invisible paths with tons of near misses with water so every ride feels different and it looks cool at night.
