You are not alone - tons of us here. Vidoes like these are either "aspirational" or like crack.
Now this is youtube comments, so I got to one up you. As if not having $$ isn't bad enough, I also don't have a single musical bone in my body and still like to create music. xD

This Sensel Morph is just insane especially with overlays for video editing! It's so crazy how far and fast technology can take us, this just blew my mind. I'd def love to try this one someday, but you're right, feeling those keys under my fingers adds more vibe to music making process so Arturia Micro Lab is still #1 on my wish list. Thanks for the video!

My favourite keyboard would be the sensel morph, it has a lot of cool features and is swappable. It also has an extremely accurate touch sensor which makes it easy to make vibrato in certain types of digital instruments.

Obviously the morph is my favorite, I never thought a midi controller would be as veristile as this one. To be able to do video editing and music production on a small laptop with just one controller for everything is by far the most amazing deal I've seen yet! To pick a second favorite, it would be the launchkey mini. I have the launchkey 49 and I love it, but I can't take it everywhere. The mini is even better than the 49 and it comes with a sick arpeggiator!!! Thanks for the vid man, this is the first I've heard of you and I look forward to watching more!

The Minilab MK2 is probably the most interesting to me! The main reasons being is because of the software included. Haven’t played music in a while so these videos are so helpful. I want to get back into making music, but don’t have money to get a full sized controller. A mini is probably my best option right now, and all of these seem to be amazing!!!

Great video! I like Arturia Mini Lab MKII, followed by the Novation Launch Key Mini. I like them for being compact, yet professional, as well as including drum pads. For part of my curriculum at school, we have two weeks out of the year to try something new, kind of like an independent study. I plan on learning how to create music and mash songs. Hopefully one of these midi keyboards can help!

My favorite keyboard is the Akai MPK mini. I personally like to finger drum and the pads are big enough to play drums with two fingers. Also the advantage of the arpeggiator so I can get ideas from there and build on that.

  • @daruft

Just like a few of the other comments... watched the other one yesterday and came across this one today! If the giveaway is still on, my favourite seems to be the Arturia mini studio, it’s what I would buy as it seems to have a really great price/ performance. I’ve always loved music, and recently I’ve been wanting to start music production and this would allow me to do so without a huge upfront investment.

Really digging the Sensel Morph, mostly because of the chord vibrato and pitch bending which would be kick butt for some synth wave projects, but also impressed by its versatility as a controller. Tactile feedback while making music is really important for me and a 0 travel touchpad probably wouldn't give the same satisfaction. The novation launchkey mini looks so good, I used to have the launchkey 25 and i loved it. The arp functions open up a lot of room for creativity, i love it! Def my favourite from this video. Adnan Hossain thanks for the thorough comment my friend! The Morph is definitelyyyyy ahead of it’s time. It’s a great device for the present, but I can’t wait to see the MK.2/MK.3 versions (assuming they continue with this product.) I think it’s definitely a idealistic device in a lot of way. As far as the launch key, I was really pleasantly surprised. Awesome little midi keyboard. All of these are pretty dope in their own way. These comparison convos are so necessary because there is no clear-cut best option!

I honestly think, out of all the MIDI keyboards you have mentioned in this video, the Sensei Morph is the coolest one. Of course it's price is straying from the truly affordable, but it's versatility is worth the $150 markup. I my self am a music producer that has just recently started making things (if you call almost 2 years just starting off), and the several different ways to use it is astounding for such a small item. I can even edit the videos I put on this platform and more from just that paper-thin package! It's an interesting item that i would love to test out, and I can't wait to hear back from you.

Really liked the Novation and the Ableton syncing. Thanks for your detail. I'm consider myself a rookie with lots if untapped gifts to give to the world. Wish it had that pitch knob though....

I’ve been trying to learn everything on my own and I always have a hard time finding useful RUclips videos 😂 these videos help me a lot though, and the overviews help me get started when looking for equipment so I don’t walk into guitar center looking like an idiot 💀 the MPK Akai seems the most ideal to me personally because I know it’s so commonly used. And I’ve been finding that if I use software and hardware that’s used by a lot of people near me, it’s easier to get guidance on how to use all the features to express what I want to do. It just seems like an ideal practice for someone as new as me to use what everyone else uses, so I can ask more people questions and so that I can work with others more often!

As a Komplete Kontrol A49 user the M32 looks like the ultimate (not so) portable solution. it keeps the amazing work flow of its bigger brothers. But I cant deny the Morph looks like a great tool for creators. Id pick one of those - or both. haha

I have the Akai MPK but the Novation looks really compelling because of the midi out and the amount of drum pads

My favorite would definitely have to be the Komplete Kontrol M32. I just prefer to work on something a little bigger and it looks dope

I’ve literally been using your videos as research for midi keyboards as I wanted to purchase one once I can afford it 😂 the college student life is hard. I love the Novation Launch key mini due to the size and abundance of features it has, and the visuals really do kickass with the rgb pads (plus Ableton would be sick to try!) Love the vids! Keep it up! :)
