I've had this mower for a few years now and it's served me very well. Doesn't hold a charge as long as it used to, but it mows very well, even pretty well with moderately high grass surprisingly. Just started using it again for the season and it's still performing well.

Does the mulch just stay under the mower or does it discharge out from the mower somewhere?
no it mulches or blows it into the bag.
That’s a nice mower but we like our Honda gas mower the best because it is easy to start up with the recoil, has a blade control where I can push with the motor on but not the blades spinning, and I don’t need to prime it because it has no primer bulb, just start it up

Since it does have so much plastic, one would need to be careful about small rocks and branches in the grass, I presume?
it seems to do ok with them, but yeah larger ones for sure
My dad wanted one but since it wasn't self propelled he changed his mind
it is really light weight so very east to push
You don't need self propelled it's so easy to push and light weight.
