Ultra Thin Bonded Wearing Course is a specialty mix application designed to provide a superior riding surface to roads which are reaching their maintenance interval while exhibiting very low levels of distress. An oxidized asphalt surface can become new again when a heavy polymer modified emulsion membrane is applied to the surface by a highly specialized spray paver followed immediately by a 5/8" layer of a fine open-graded friction wearing course. The result is improved wet weather friction characteristics, a smoother - quieter ride, and an aesthetically pleasing surface with improved high-contrast striping for driver safety.
