Caroline CO EMS Porous Pavement

Porous Pavement is installed during the construction of Caroline County EMS in Denton Maryland. The porous system featured 12± 1 inches of a stone reservoir comprised of AASHTO #3 over top of geotextile, capped with a choker course of AASHTO #8 and topped with four inches of a 12.5 mm porous pavement. The performance was easy to see. The porous asphalt pavement was placed in six hours, opened to traffic in 72 hours.
