That's a common misconception. If your skin is oily, you should moisturize because that's how you train your skin to produce less oils. If you keep exfoliating and drying your skin, you'll only trigger your skin to produce more oils

Not technically. Hydrating would mean something water based because water hydrates the skin…nourishing would mean, well in my opinion healing. So if you had an active breakout or something it will help calm it down….moisturizing would mean something that keeps the skin moisturized. The only thing I would ever use petroleum jelly for as far as my skin is concerned is to mix with sugar and use as a scrub to help remove dead skin and I only use it in the shower so I wash the petroleum jelly off as soon as I have exfoliated my dead skin. There are some products that don't clog your pores and contain some seriously good things for your skin such as Tretinion, Niacinamide and Hyaluronic acid, Glycolic acid,Lactic acid and Vitamin A,C,E and Caffeine. But petroleum jelly is a byproduct of the oil,gas and other fossil fuel production and not something that is good for your skin. Yuck yuck yuck 🤢
