What a great idea, I’ve seen countless recipes for nettle tea but never thought to make pesto. Can’t wait to try it!

excellent! Some people find it too bitter, but you can always choose to use half nettle and half basil or other leafy herb. I love pesto because it is such a basic recipe with so many variations. Enjoy!

Nice video. Could you post the ingredients at the beginning?
Also, what’s opinion on adding Parmesan to the pesto. Would it last for a while outside the fridge?

Thank you. I use pecorino Romano cheese in this video, but I’ve used Parmesan as well and it’s good too.
Ingredients are fresh stinging nettle, garlic, salt, olive oil, pecorino Romano, toasted pine nuts. I don’t put the ingredients or measurements in this video because my point behind making it was to show my process to make pesto without following a recipe, and how I preserve it using oil and refrigeration.
I do recommend refrigerating the pesto after you make it if you won’t be using it all right away.
I also have another video where I make a similar recipe, only using chives and stinging nettle. Check it out for more info.
