I remember watching this many years ago. Its still one of my favorite (if not my favorite) Halo stop motions ever. The nostalgia is real. I miss the good old days of stop motion.

Aidan A I use Motion 5 for the visuals and iMovie HD for the audio. Since this video I've learned a lot more about effects.

seriously bro top notch just fix the lighting and u could make perfect vids. Probably best melee fighting ive seen, and the camera work actually follows professional standards, loved it.
The lighting will hopefully be redeemed by the end of the holiday season if I get myself a new camera. And thank you very much- I work hard on the melee combat as it's one of my favorite parts of animation. And I very much appreciate the camera work bit.

Well, the main thing to do is to have a higher framerate. That way, the animation is much smoother, and it's easier to tell what's going on. Second, keep your camera steady. A shaky camera is a Bad Thing. Third, take your time and be patient. If you're getting bored, just stop, because the animation will turn out looking clumsy and slapped together.
Definitely one of the best Halo mega bloks stop-motions I've seen in a while.

I used a picture of the same sword and added a Chroma Key effect. I then moved it frame-by-frame forward.
