My Zeppelin is now struggling with Airplay so am seriously considering The Wedge!!!
I think its great looking, I wish it had 3.5mm or RCA input jacks.
I was blown away when I heard it! I never heard a speaker that size produce bass that I could actually feel! The price is very high but the SQ is out of this world! if I had to have only one speaker it would be this hands down!
FAST & LOUD does this sound better than the Sonos Move or the JBL Boombox 2? I am trying to find one stand alone speaker for my bedroom and would like the best sounding Bluetooth speaker especially for playing HIphop thanks 😊!

I bought the wedge and it’s the best sounding bookshelf speaker I’ve ever heard. I would give it a 10/10.

Does the Naim Muso Qb2 2nd Generation sound better than the Bowers and Wilkins Formation Wedge? I play mostly hiphop and reggae music so my emphasis is on bass and clarity. I am stuck between these two models in particular and cannot get to a store to listen to them in person so new to trust these reviews. Any assistance you can bring is greatly appreciated!
I’ve had my wedge about two years now. I had to send it back for repair because of a loud noise. Now when playing I hear background static. B&W said to hit factory reset. Hope that works!
Looks brilliant. We are currently using an early Zeppelin from B & W pre bluetooth so we have it connected to a classic iPod. Already had it repaired once so it might be time to move on to this beautiful baby. Just wondering how much it will cost out here in sunny Oz. Cheers.
I have several Formation products (Wedge, Bar, Sub x2, Flex x2) my wedge has been nothing but problems, at 1.5 yrs I had to send it in for repair, and its had nothing but conection probles since. I refuse to spend anymore money on my wedge at this point, if it continues to fail it'll be going to the trash. All that being said the B&W app is very quirky, and the speakers often fall off of the wifi connection. If I knew all of this ahead of time I'd have spent my money elsewhere. I have purchased a couple of B&O products and I am very happy with them, none of the quirkyness, and the sound is as good or better than the B&W products. I give the Formation line a 2 out of 5 stars and will never purchase B&W again.
Do you think it's better to buy a pair of the formation flex or just one formation wedge?
The Wedge sounds much better than the Flex. I asked the same question to myself, but after hearing both speakers I find a single Wedge much better than 2 Flex, no question any longer for me.
If you want tell to BOWERS AND WILKINS to make a more affordable active in the same size speakers !

I don't understand they the speaker claims it can handle Hi Res audio quality when an iPhone doesn't transmit Hi Res.
It's not a replacement for the Zeppelin, as the just released a new one..

Not nearly as good-looking as the Zeppelin eager to hear the quality though

Really wanted to know more about the sound quality and even compare both the sound from Zepplein to Wedge. I did not want to know what it looks like as I can clearly see what it looks like. Other none related topic, why cant the zeppelin have airplay 2 upgrade offered. Surely all it requires is a smart software upgrade which could resolve this and not tell us its a hardware issue, B&W could offer a recall upgrade if they wanted for Zeppelin for airplay 2 upgrade..
Frank Taylor unfortunately the technology inside the wireless zeppelin can not be ungraded through an update to include airplay 2. I have two zeppelins so it is slightly frustrating!

Not sure if you were answered but I bought it and it was the only one that paired with my TV without any delay. Tried the B&O A9 and Denon 350 both had a major delay
What R those in background
The sound quality is the most important feature, and you left that out. Colossal fail. Even though RUclips is not the best way to sample sound, you still could have offered a sample or two. Your voice recorded well, I imagine a music sample would have given the listener some idea of the sound quality. Without hearing the sound quality, these reviews are almost useless vanity projects and a waste of time.
Pro trick: watch movies at flixzone. Been using them for watching a lot of movies these days.

The Duo can not be used for 5.1 tv/movie sound. The input to the Bar is optical and not HDMI eARC, so not capable of Dolby Atmos or any of the other high bandwidth movie sound encoding... only Dolby Digital. With the increasing bandwidth of the new HDMI technologies like 2.1 B&W need to redesign the input so eARC and Dolby Atmos can be used. We should be able to use the DUO as additional fronts to widen the sound. Paying $4000 USD and then getting told, “no the Duo can’t be used in the 5.1 setup” is absurd. What if I want Duos as front and rear channels? Seems the extra design would generate 4000 more if B&W allowed the Duo in your TV listening experience. No, no, no, no and no.
the application is very bad, it constantly turns off, it is impossible to listen to music via AirPlay.
Can the wedge be used as surrounds with the formation bar and bass?
No they can't. Only the FLEX can be used for surrounds with the BAR & BASS.

I find it so ironic that a RUclips channel about SOUND, has a fellow with very poor audio quality. Why not invest in a cheap microphone??
Hi, thanks for your comment. The mic we were using was having some difficulties at the time, so we had to use the one from the camera on this occasion!! :-( We'll make sure our future videos will use our new microphone.

Does the Formation series work ok with Samsung Android and PC over wifi/bt?
Hi there, the Formation app is supported on most Android and iOS devices. To control Formation from PC, you can use either bluetooth, Airplay 2 (if you have a Mac), Spotify Connect or Roon. Hope this helps!
Smart Home Sounds Ltd. Does that mean there is no way to connect Bluetooth only devices?(For example a projector)
In my opinion, nothing interesting, the same Zeppelin Wireless, only the price is 2 times more expensive, in my opinion Dinaudio music 5, 7 and Naim Mu-so QB 2gen are much more interesting, this is my point of view, thanks.

Can you connect it to a tv?
Hi there, it doesn't have a HDMI connection so the only way to use it with TV is via AirPlay 2 and if you have an Apple TV. Otherwise, you'd need to use the Formation Bar for the optical connection to the TV but there are plenty of other options such as the Sonos Arc or B&O Beosound Stage which use HDMI-ARC and can get Dolby Atmos from etc. The Wedge is primarily used for music only. Hope that helps!
