🔥. Matt is so good for filming coatings. Epic result from the master (Yvan sorry Nick 😂). If I get the time to do mine properly I’d like to coat the door shuts and bonnet shuts and any drainage channels as well as we get a lot on mud on the roads from farming and it’s always raining in the Uk. Even when it’s sunny. I’d coat the engine bay as well if I could.

Nick, you look slick with that regular type haircut and shave. That might be a weird thing to say, but it brings out a handsome, professional, and young look. I'm currently rocking a short haircut and growing my beard, which makes my face look slimmer cause I'm a little pudgy (but quickly dropping the fattiness). Everything's going great polishing my car panel-by-panel with Gold Standard Polish. But I ran into something I know nothing about--chrome trim. Is it safe to use your polish on it? And there's 8 years of swirls in the chrome--does chrome generally have clear coat? Is it too risky to go after swirls in chrome? Thanks!
You can polish it. Some is plastic chrome, other is metal
Great videos as always! Just an advice... Need to watchout those creeper carts more or put some protection on the frame. Looks like the frame hit the rear rim while polishing out the coating 44:29 and way too close to that matte paint for my comfort 43:18. Better be safe than sorry! Thank you guys :D

Is the rotary jeweling pad and Gold Standard polish with 3 passes sufficient to remove a previous ceramic coating?

So… was there more then one applicator used in this ceramic coating, and if not the time that it sat on cloth applicator over entire application is fine?

It will cost you less to replace the windows. It’s not something that you’re going to learn from a video. When training new franchisees glass polishing took a week, and lots of windows were scrapped
Is your knee roller stool home built? Or do you have a name I can look up for that? I would love to buy one that is as sturdy as that one. The ones on the market are dog water, and that one looks great.

Is it important to use a strip wash, or using a rinseless wash and polishing is good enough to put on a ceramic coating?
A strip wash isn’t required. Do a good wash and decontamination with a light polish.
It is so difficult to understand how so little coating liquid covers such a large area. I realize so little does, but it just takes getting mentally used to. May I ask also, if at all possible, would you guys be kind enough to intentionally make a high spot on a test panel in a subsequent video on non-matte paint? Thanks in advance.

Can the APP be used to prepare unpainted plastic for paint? I know it's designed for ceramic coatings, but I figured it would work since clear coat is plastic and bumpers are plastic also.
No, best use a dedicated product.
I noticed you 'polished' the PPF, - any benefit or cons to doing that? I'm thinking especially about heat and it being (poly)urethane. I assume it will help the coat to stick better to the PPF and that is why you did so.
Oh, and why does the windshield look hazy on one side but not the other? Is it just a reflection or is something messing with the refraction?

How do you have so much left in the foam cannon after foaming the entire car? I am almost empty after a full pass. I tried dialing it down but still uses a lot. What type of foam cannon are you using?

Bmw, the toyota has a wind noise problem with driving with the windows down... which for me, is the most fun i have in a car, moonroof open and windows down. It does not have a moon roof, and the windows down is an issue

On white cars if you still have some iron specs after iron remover and Decon towel, polish with GS and yellow pad.
Is it just something that has to be accepted and explained to the customer or do you guys have another idea?

@@ziads3653 on a gloss car you can polish, on matte, go over the area again allowing the DIY Detail Iron Remover to dwell, and rub with a MF towel ( lightly)

Just wondering for All Clean. Is it okay to use it as a pre-wash like other high Alkaline pH soap? Like for the foam-rinse-foam, the 1st foam I use All Clean, rinse it, then proceed the 2nd foam with Incredible Suds/Rinseless Wash. If it is okay, how much should I use for the foam cannon?
Yes, that said a high alkaline pre wash is only needed for highly neglected vehicles. It should no be part of your regular wash routine

What’s up guys need some professional assistance!! I noticed while washing my car that my drying towel would glide across the paint, but when I dry my windows it’s super grabby causing my towel to lint, there’s a coating on there which might be the cause of it but any advice? Should I polish it clean and reapply another coating?

I was under the impression that using clay media on Matte is not a good idea but to let the iron remover and such act via the chemical reaction to the paint surface
A clay bar can scar the surface, the Perforated Synthetic Decontamination Towel contains no abrasives.

With C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP)
Yvan just squeezed soapy water riddled with brake dust onto the hood and proceeded to clay the vehicle in that spot. Every day he loses credibility.
We use a separate bucket for the wheels
@@diydetailofficial I can see Yvan pull out the legacy sponge from the paint soap bucket at 10:55, wash the wheel with it, put it back into the paint soap bucket, pull out a clay towel from that said bucket and begin claying the car.
Easy there cowboy. So the lightly dusty wheel that got foam-rinse-foamed, then barrel - brushed needed some extra soapy water on it before the green brush on the face.... The sponge was used to add liquid to the wheel, probably got barely dirty if at all. No problem. Don't over-think it so much my friend.
