Loved this show. And It's the first time I've seen a spectrograph of the speaker's voice. Really cool watching Helen's voice bounce around. She's very expressive. Nice to visualize it. 👍

Very interesting. John of Gaunt was fascinating; really a very multi dimensional person. But so often is not portrayed that way. It’s nice to get a fuller picture of the man. Thank you for this!

Like Violet, the host, I was introduced to this time period and to history in general by reading Katherine, by Anya Seaton. I was about 10 when I read it for the first time and discovered the joys of historical fiction and through that - history. John of Gaunt has always held a soft spot in my heart since I was 10 and understood only about half of what I read in Seaton's book.

Alnwick should be pronounced without the letter L and W.
