💥 Could the Alpha and Beta Prototypes and Playtest Pokémon cards actually be fakes? Recent discoveries in the meta printing data suggest these "rare cards" were printed in 2024, not during Pokémon's early development era.

Great video. Thanks for going into depth on this!
@@Jimimaru88 thanks for watching! Thought it would be good to help people understand the different iterations and variances.
Great video, pretty insane this is happening. Really curious what CGC is going to do.
@@khaosemperor4611 thanks Jaydie. I really wanted to make a video and not come off like I know much about it or blame any specific entity. I hope the collectors and cgc somehow find a resolution to all of this.
Going to be interesting to see what CGC says. I didn’t realize there were so many variants which also throws things in the mix. I guess checking the ink matrix will have to be part of the authentication process now
So many iterations and variants. It was definitely a lot to wrap your head around. Yeah, but I’m surprised this wasn’t something these companies weren’t already doing. Thanks for watching, Ryan!
Super informative brother!!! This truly is an absolute mess CGC is definitely responsible for this mess as well
Thank you brother 🤘 yeah it’s a total mess… it will be interesting watching how this unfolds.
Items like these are super hard to authenticate so unless you got history and know the source, items like these can be a crap shoot and super risky, stay away.
@@gettingwreckedwithsbmtg1bo582 the wild party is they had a source, but unfortunately I think they were taken advantage of by some people with bad intentions. I’m really curious to watch how CGC navigates this. I’m sure CGC hasn’t slept since the news. Thanks for watching Dave!
I hope creature inc release a statement
Unfortunately, I don’t think they’ll acknowledge these cards in any fashion. Thanks for watching!
what. a. mess. don’t know much about these but if rattle made a video a while back you knew something was up
@@mxnu3l_yt you can bet your bottom dollar that Rattle is feasting right now 😂
CGC is certainly getting a lot of criticism ,which is definitely warranted, but I'm curious about what people think they should have done differently. One of the men who can be considered "Mr. Pokemon" literally told them that the cards were authentic.
@@hellomelloyello I totally hear you, people have their pitch forks out. IMO I think regardless of what an individual says you have to go above and beyond to authenticate these. I’m not sure how long CGC had these cards before they went public with them but it looks like it wasn’t enough time. I also don’t think it’s entirely Akabane’s fault. I think there’s individuals that took advantage of an old sick man. Thanks for watching Mello 🤘
Lovely cards but what a mess 😅
Yeah… it’s a total mess 😅
How much for your gamma playtest cards? Serious buyer. Cash in hand
Too much for you, and I only take cashapp anyways
Collect everything Venusaur line! 😂 I’m a Venusaur fan.
Venusaur is the 🐐
@ Haha! I beat Red on Mt. Silver with a 92 lvl Bulba in my team (with revives), and eventually evolved it to Ivysaur to go at it again. Pretty sure I wouldn’t need those revives if I had Venusaur. 😆
Woot
Wooooo 😬
