According to the datamine crackling energy, imp missile and prod savant all should be 1 point nodes, so we should have 3 more points to play with
Frostbolt changes are how Deathborn worked in Shadowlands. Deathborn frost with lock was pretty cracked.
So theorycrafting....surge>magi+barrage> full missiles with arcane battery maxed / cut off missiles without battery > blast > (aoe) barrage > orb barrage ect > (single target) same as now??? Without gem seems like harmony is going to be a must to recoup the lost damage bonus, which im fine with though 20 stacks are going to be rough to manipulate from pack to pack in M+ but a non point in raid unless doing the battery proc gives you a stack with each hit from it, though not sure thats been tested, which would definitely prioritize using the buff correctly every time.
Can't wait to see how we can work in that nutty 3 second stun they gave us.

Sounds like Touch of the Magi spark is a replacement for current Radiant Spark? I am 100% for that. Removes rotation complexity and removes a global before we can do damage.
What you think overall about these changes for arcane mage? buff or not? Im asking as blizz love to tell: Heyyy! we give X to arcane mage ! awesome right? :) thats the buff you guys been asking for! oh, btw, we also nerf/take away Y from arcane mage ( which made end results 0 as its simply adding 1 and removing 1 which make 0 ) , they gave lots of but also removed some spells , reduced damage also
I hate the arcane missiles rework.. Arcane missiles is just to good to juke kicks , breaks totem with fire blast on cd .. We lose so much in the tree. But this is an alpha. Can change

@@hennibsdp9528 it’s not a pet, it’s an elemental and it’s only 1, you can’t have 5 different types of pets like lock or hunter
I love that you explain what these changes mean for us in terms of gameplay and thought process. I can name another highly popular mage whose name begins with a V who would likely skip over stuff with a glazed look on his face and say "oh that sounds op" and just expect us to know why.
