Protecting Spirit Loagaeth is a great add for this deck. I also recommend floodgates like Dragon's Bind. Adding in Condemned Witch will allow you to search for Forbidden Droplet on summon, then during your opponent's turn you can tribute it to bring out Barrier Statue of the Heavens, which happens to be a Light/Fairy. I'm personally running a Lair of Darkness build of this deck to good success. The Field spell turns all monsters to Dark attribute, which really makes outing Starry Night Starry Dragon difficult. Plus, the ability to tribute the opponent's field makes it much easier to get over those 'unaffected' monsters.
Loageth is definitely cool. Dragon's bind is a favorite card of mine but I like utilizing the bouncing back and forth from the hand of starry dragon that results in destroying the bind. used that condemned witch strat in some other decks, be fun to play with it here. Now lair of darkness with starry knights is super spicy that sounds like a very funny time.
I knew I wasn't the only trying out Starry Knights with Lair. I couldn't settle on build or figure out how to pilot it efficiently (I remember there are conflicts with your on field light effects not working due to being dark).
@@u.a.perfectace7786 you are correct about Lair making the light attribute stuff not work. However, in my experience the benefit has outweighed the detriment with Lair. Horus has been nice with Starry as well, but the benefits are more generic, as you can probably imagine.
I remeber this video. One of the better Starry Knight lists and it popped up again on my recommendations. Have to get around finishing the deck sometime this century. Last two cards this deck got was The Rank 4 Starry Knight and a weird trap card with Starry Dragon on it (both from the core set AGOV).
I also have the Starry Knight deck however I didn't know that you can fusion synchro or xyz summon Raidraptor Ultimate Falcon which requires 3 level 10 wingbeasts. Does Waking of The Dragon ignore the summoning conditions of extra deck monsters? (A bit of sarcasm in there too).
Waking the dragon can summon any extra deck monster that doesn't have the card text "This card can only be summoned" in it which does apply to raidraptor ultimate falcon
@snowflarkyzeimos1131 But considering the fact that you only have one I assume we're not relying on the extra deck all that much since one Waking The Dragon is only bringing out one of them.
Could you explain waking the dragon a little more? Like can it summon anything from the extra deck while disregarding the summon condition of the extra deck monster?
Basically what you said is spot on. Unless the extra deck card has text that says it can only be summoned through fusion/synchro/xyz summon etc. you can pull that card out of the extra deck when waking the dragon is removed from the field by your opponents card effect. All the targets in my extra deck are some of the best targets that can be brought out by waking the dragon. Do note that this means they haven't been properly summoned so if you special summon one from the extra deck and it gets sent to the graveyard you can't monster reborn it or anything like that.
Might be a decent option to have a one or two of due to the fact that you can get walled off by anything with more than 2500 in a stat. However I really find it too niche because in most cases you can get rid of those monsters with Starry Dragon's effect, even attack around it if you can't. Also all the floodgates usually stop those high attack monsters from hitting the field for most combo decks which make up a majority of my play experience. If you want to look into honest I might recommend looking into a build that uses "Ties of the Brethren" so that you can use any of the starry knights to ties them into an honest and barrier statue of the heavens. Barrier Statues is incredibly powerful especially with honest to protect it.

Yoo that was actually pretty useful ^^ Thanks for the deck! Definitely gonna check it out
Appreciate the kind words. Starry Knights has definitely been consistently one of my favorite decks to play over the past couple years.

@@snowflarkyzeimos1131 Thank you so much for clearing that up for me!
No OG seiyaryu? I like it enough to at least play one, then tech in a dragons bind for the floodgate lol
I've been looking into making a for fun build with dragon's bind in it just cause it's one of my favorite floodgates of all time
What's your opinion on running Honest in the deck?
