Smart but humble guy. The kind of entrepreneur the country specially the youth need.
You would want to work for someone like him.
I hope those with a lot more opportunity understand the vision he has and don’t quit without realizing that they are negatively impacting others in line as unreliable service makes the Ethiopian market is not attractive

As a software graduate I am aware of Excellerent and the opportunities they provide to the market, it was eye-opening to hear about the benefits and challenges of outsourcing. Great Job Mr melaku, and you guys as always
Glad you liked it , Thanks
Great man, you are different from other businessmen that only concerned about themselves. Please investors in Ethiopia think of this
It is a trend that riches in our country invest in hotel and clubs that doesn't help the youth. Thinking beyond ourselves should be our way, especially now.
Big Boss Mele you're a true leader

Starting of a new season with a bang ! 💥
that's the spirit
Thank you for bringing up this topic as it's been the subject I have been contemplating about for a couple of years but couldn't be able to get an insight on its Ethiopian status. BTW we need to be careful with our words when we call out a subject or a programming language is dead since that is a misleading and confusing message given OO C++ is still in big demand in the embedded systems development areas and still C/C++ 's knowledge can be taken as a springboard to learn other languages easily.
We are doing it (Exporting talent) in Architectural design and construction sector as well. Ethiopia has great designers that can contribute to the international market.
This is inspiring, Thank you MERI podcast!
Thank you, Glad you enjoyed it
Really, where?

Fact
I really want to work with you.
we need u to participate on cyber security area too
Wrong! In university u learn fundamentals, theories behind all these technologies. C++ teaches a lot about bare metal programming and also OOP. So, taking C++ course should be beneficial.

Web developers don’t know how C++ is powerful, Software Engineers does.
C++ used to develop large application. Like operating system, browser, Editing softwares like adobe, hardware manipulation. Industrial machine controllers. Network devises operating system such as switches and routers and Firewall and so many…

C++ isn't out of market, i think you're only familiar with web development.
I agree with you on local market. I refer to the US market and it is a general discussion.
Amarigna tenageru atidebalqu,
Ethiopians atent competitive in this sector due to language barriers unlike English speaking countries in Africa.
India is woken up they no longer are being laves for western companies rather they are building locally . You need to upgrade your awareness on the current trend in Asia.
Some thoughts I want to share because someone commented saying "all habesha's do in comment sections is give false praise".
1. I am happy this guy shared his knowledge. That said, I think he needed to emphasize that he's only an employee of a contractor/sub-contactor. This is a start but Ethiopians need to start their own Ecellerent (like he said).
2. He could've given atleast a range for salaries. He said it was confidential but is it really? I mean we know they are getting paid less than half that their American and Indian counterparts hence the need to provide for other benefits. He also reiterated that people are leaving to work directly with American company which confirms earlier assumptions. But hey, beggers can't be choosers.
3. I learned today that IDPC gave 22 million birr for "Gebeta Lehager" scheme which will be used to god knows what. So don't expect gov incentives anytime soon (not as optimistic as this guy) and we can't say gov is doing all it can too.
4. No big deal in not having secretary. Hey, the whole reason for this company to come to ETH is to cut costs! He's also just a manager...
5. Company website is vague as heck. No metion of who the leadership is. Not sure why that is.
6. He gave good advice at the end in that Ethiopians can do more. It starts with working to change yourself then someone next to you.
It a typical habesha secrecy to hide what is a public knowledge with the salary scale. It's the cheapest even in Africa by comparison. He is also a subcontractor not an owner of the company as he claimed, playing big man to impress habesha. Waste of time
Actually, it’s not my responsibility to respond. What action are you referring to? Are you talking about professional criticism? They are simply performing their duties. Whether they are merely acting or doing something inappropriate, it would be more constructive to specify the precise issue at hand.
