Events like quarterly results, budget, etc makes the IV shoot up(& hence IV percentile) and after the event the IV collapses. Traders sell options when IV percetile is like 80% and exit when the IV come to lower values.

Sir kindly request . Show us by real life egs that how option traders (both buyers and sellers) use this IV and all option greeks practically in making decisions.! Humble request . Make a video on that
For option buyer increase in iv after taking position will increase the profit but for option seller it's opposite. Eg: option buyer get double benifit if market goes up and iv also increases where as it's opposite for option seller

@@angomoson7356 As I understand, IV is calculated from price movement so unless movement has already happened how it will change ? There is no speculation index.... again, I am no expert just trying to understand

Sir, I got confused about how to understand if the current IV is higher side or lower side by looking at IV Percentile. You said, If IVP is high(example 80%) that means, in last one year 80% of the time, the IV was higher than current IV then current IV is at lower end of the last year historical IV right. That means, more the IVP, more lower end the current IV is. That means, for option seller, IVP should be very less(example 20%), so that current IV is already in higher end, so we can assume IV can drop in future as per probability. Please clarify Sir..
Sorry sir, I understood now.. you said If IVP is high(example 80%) that means, in last one year 80% of the time, the IV was lower than current IV, that means, current IV is at higher end of the last year historical IV right. So higher the IVP, current IV is at higher range of the last one year IV. Thank you..

For Implied Volatility, what is considered as high, medium and low?

just one stupid question -- you mean, you buy Put options when you have high IV%? or may be you are selling a call option? right?

Mr Sundar, change in iv is after effects of market movement so its too late to bet based on iv , no?
no, IV tends to build up prior to an event due to speculation. And generally collapse after the event
