That was impressive. No muss, no fuss, right to the point, no waste of time. Beautifully cut, and the music was perfect to breathe confidence into the anxiety I feel undertaking a project like this. Congrats!
Thanks a ton. The Benro service center guy did not have a replacement and i needed one on urgent basis, so instead i borrowed a damaged piece from him hoping i could swap the locks. Came across this video and voila 5 mins is all it took and my tripod is as good as new. I'll now return the borrowed piece. Thanks for a simple and easy solution.
Great video Brandon. I have a slik tripod that has a similar mechanism and I could not figure out how to disassemble the legs. With this video, I was able to easily clean my tripod. I could not find this information anywhere on the net. Many thank!
Thanks greatly for this. I have two leg locks to fit on a Manfrotto 718SHB, which I think is the exact tripod shown in your video. So this is an excellent video for me -- Manfrotto provide no instructions at all!
My cheap but sturdy tripod from Amazon lost the foot cap which let the smallest extension collapse into the leg. This video helped me fix it. Worth it not to order a replacement! Thank you!
Great video; unfortunately Spartan Photo didn't have the part for my wife's Manfrotto 728B! I had to order it from England. Some people are 3D printing them and offering the clasps on eBay, but I needed the shim as well as the leg collar, so I bought the package with all the necessary parts. I sure appreciate this instructional video.
Hello, The video is very nicely explained. can you please provide the links for parts available too? it can be any store in US or online. that really helps. thanks a lot
This is a good video on how to replace the manfrotto clamps. Unfortunately for my tripod (the 714B) the cost of the four clamps I need exceed the cost of a new tripod!
I have a Slik Pro 340QF, one of the tabs that locks the legs broke off. Do ya'll carry parts for this item? I could just knock the lock pin out and replace it without disassembling the entire thing correct?
hi thankyou for the video. its so helpful. But I cannot find a store to buy a leg lock for my velbon cx460 tripod. just one leg lock is broken. i wanted to repair it. can you tell me wherr I can find the part. i searched in Amazon and ebay too. no luck..

@@spartanphotocenter dang thank you very much for responding to me. I honestly appreciate that I may look into having someone possibly 3d print the part.
Sorry, but this replacement vid is more complicated than it seems. More than likely when you try to remove leg locks, especially these plastic ones, they too will break. So in order to replace one leg lock,, you will have to replace all three. That comes to about $75. I followed the exact directions and each time I tried to remove the pin, the leg lock would crack. So the real price of this is much higher. I guess if you dont mind spending $75 to replace all the locks, then it is worth it. If one has cracked it is likely others will crack as well. And it also seems that if one has already cracked, others are probably ready to go too. May be just time to buy a new one with metal locks.

THANKS so much. I have a Vortex tripod, and the leg lock came off. There were enough hints in this video to enable me to put it all back together.
