Really pleased I came across your RUclips channel. I have a Giottis M951B aluminium Professional Tripod. The problem I have is one section of the leg has worked loose is this something that you could help me with…do you do tripod servicing. Another problem is that the long threaded bolt head seems to have rounded off meaning I’m unable to get an Allen key in to be able to tighten it up. Many thanks.
Thank you so much! You just helped me with my maturita exam from design! I don't own a tripod. I just needed to know how leg lock works and how it looks inside. :)
Thanks for the video Will, I am tempted to use a drop of oil on the screw thread when re-assembling the clips...is that a No... No...? Secondly the tensioning of the screw actually alters the tension of the clip itself not the in and out movement of the leg.
Thanks for this, I was waiting for the click legs as mine are gritty from the beach even after a good wash in the shower it's still gritty, I have a Manfrotto 055 carbon are they just the same?
Thank you, could not find any other videos with the disassembly of the lever type leg locks.

A very small drop. In my opinion, oil and camera's don't generally mix. You can get some tripod grease for the job, but still use sparingly.

Hi, yep just the same for any click lock legs so a good clean will get rid of your gritty bits. Thanks for watching.
I’m about to clean my Manfrotto because of sand blocking the proper clip operation.
Good video. Thanks
Great, thank you, that's my Manfrotto 055 carbon having a clean this weekend.
Glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching
Thank you. I have to try and repair my Manfrotto tripod now. Some sand got into the clips, so they don’t close. Wish me luck.
