Billie is a huge Peggy Lee, Julie London, Etta James fan, hence her 50s-60s vocal characteristics and style. Then she adds on top elements of electro, hip hop, rock and modern pop and her brother’s impeccable music composition, arrangement and production and the end result is something extraordinary. Can’t wait to see more of her stuff.
I'm glad to hear this. I've been hoping she would cover Lee's "Fever" for some time. Maybe soon.

One of my favorite things about Billie's singing is her exquisite diction. Lips/facial muscles relaxed enabling perfect airflow thru the consonant sounds. Letters like b, t, w, d, k, p are so lusciously smooth. Lawd have mercy!
No protest, no sleight of hand lyric, no sarcasm, no spitting against the wind... simply a soulful acoustic rendition of a romantic classic. Billie and Finneas may produce edgy music, but it is the inherent talent in both that sets them apart and they are realizing that potential across other genres. It is surprising, refreshing and wonderfully adult... KDM

her voice is incredible and with so much jazz in it woah, finneas does a fantastic job providing the guitar, barney kessels piece on the julie london version is inimitable and untouchable but this one is simple and sweet. julie and barney would be very proud
