I just love the fact that EVERYONE yelled, "THE PENCIL!!!" when the movie gets to that part their first time. It happened in the theater, it happens at every watch party, it never fails to happen! 😂
@JessAndTess The dog wasn't a puppy at the end of the first film. This is set immediately after the first. That dog was scheduled to be put down and John saved him.
The shotgun is a Benelli M4 using 12-gauge solid steel slugs (armor piercing). The rifle before that was an modified AR variant with steel receiver instead of aluminum for less chance of failure in high fire combat situations, chambered in 7.62. Fully load rifle and shotgun, with all the extra ammo, weighs about 40 to 50 lbs.
I like how he prepared for his mission. He knew the kind of man Santino was and that Santino would turn on him, like he did. He also knew that Giana’s men would be after him too.
In shots and scenes that involve mirrors, they use CGI to remove the reflections of the cameras and crew. It's also kind of a flex when you have these complex scenes involving mirrors. This is used in many movies and not just with mirrors, sometimes they use it on character's eyeballs, other shiny or reflective surfaces, water, etc.

He trained with Taran Tactical, one of the top academies. The said the amount of work Keanu put in over a year ended with him in the top 15% to 20% students. (they train FBI, Special Forces and the like) The reason this matters is the long fight scenes are Keanu and he is so skilled them can film a long single take with no cuts because it is all him actually doing these actions. (it's like a dance)
The mustang is the same color, nothing is changed. The Russian boss in the beginning is the Devil in Constantine, starring Keanu. The doctor in these movies was the Key Master in the Matrix franchise. When they show up to pick up his car they hadn't told John (the mechanic) they had destroyed it. His reaction was real.
The reason why John shot the sister is because he needed a proof that he was there and also, there is a chance that she could survive that cutting so he made sure.
She asked John if he feared damnation, this was alluding to him not being in heaven with Helen but also to her suicide preventing her from entering as well. So, John ever the gentleman held her hand and shot her before her pulse stopped so she would not see the shot coming and would not die by suicide.

When it comes time to move your "inventory" out of your guarded warehouse, you don't want to have a $150,000 car sitting there waiting to be loaded while someone "goes to find the keys" 16:00-16:10 The dog John got at the end of the first movie wasn't a puppy, he was a full grown dog. Santino used an ARWEN 37 less-lethal 37 mm launcher using incendiary grenades. The rounds fired would burn the house down, but the concussion blast is exaggerated for effect in movie, unless it ignited a gas line in initial magnesium burst.
32:09 that's actually John's weakness remember he also got hit by a car in the first one thats why he got tied up by Viggo Along with the club, john getting hit by a car is the re occurring thing in the franchise
John like most highly trained close quarter combat specialist prefer to use the Mozambique drill it involves to shots to chest and one to head to minimize the risk of passing an enemy that can shot or injure you as you pass. This is very effective to eliminate a target and move on focused on next targets without dividing your attention or focus on downed targets.
John Wick, 1, 2, and 3 take place over an approximate 3 week time frame. That rooftop is in nyc at Top of the rock at the Rockefeller and that church u seen is call St. Patrick's Cathedral if u remember the first Spiderman movie with Toby Mcguire when the building was coming down and he save the girl and land in a Garden
I don’t know if anyone told you, or you found out, but the first 3 movies take place within a week and a half. The 4th movie is like a few months later.
I realize you've already watched half the JW films, but watch how John holds his weapons. CAR allows for close quarters "gun fu" combat when space is limited and helps with weapon retention in a struggle.

Basically, Santino helped John in his "impossible task" that was mentioned by Viggo in the first movie. The one that laid the foundation of what they are. In exchange, John gave his blood to Santino in the marker that he could claim anytime. John wick's world is about owing someone.
This may be controversial. But I think the Marker is a blood 🩸 covenant 📑. It cannot be refused. Just like Sofia in 3: cannot refuse John. This really pisses 😡 her off. That's why she shoots him, spits in his water bottle 💦. The symbology of the marker: Skull 💀, because you get killed if you refuse it. And it centers around DEATH ☠️. Pretty metal 🤘😑🤘if you ask me. John Wick has religious undertones: As the white 🤍 room in the Museum, represents Limbo (Dante Alighieri). The red ♥️ room w/ mirrors, represents Hell (the Inferno 🔥). Oh the tattoo "FORTES FORTUNA ADIUVAT" (there are some variations) it's latin for "Luck favors the bold". The road Tess is referring to is the roman forum, it was a marketplace, some time later a political center, more or less 2.600 years old.
@@JessAndTess Yes, nobody knows but the Colosseum is actually usable, well maybe for concerts and not gladiators but it needs to be paved and would be good to go. Tons of stuff is still standing but our gov. sucks so bad it wouldn't spend a cent to restore any of it. How cool would it be to have your favorite band doing a gig in the Colosseum??!
Santino told you what the marker was for that John gave him. You talked over Winston telling John the TWO rules you must always follow, John is also called the ghost. You still don't know why John shoots them in the head. (Could be bulletproof suit). How ever good reaction.
I too wish Marcus (Willem Dafoe) never died. Aside from simply loving his character, I completely agree that they would have been fantastic and super cool them fighting together. Though in my personal opinion, he would have been probably the only one capable of stopping/talking John down from shooting the scum in the Continental. Which would have prevented the 3rd movie from happening lol. Also the supressors would be a lot louder than that. All those people in the subway would have been able to hear them shooting back and forth at each other. Only super small rounds like a .22 are super quiet. But even those can still be heard pretty well depending on how far away you are. PS. The Dumb and Dumber clip was priceless 😂 It had me laughing hard🤣
ONLY a SUB-sonic round will be quiet and with that only in a closed chamber, not a gas or recoil operated semi-automatic. (bolt, lever or pump action would be MUCH quieter)
.. But she was already dead ☠️. He shot her in the head 🧠. So Santino would say: He delivered the final blow. Like Dutch Van DeLinde jumping off the cliff. Edgar Ross grabbed: John's gun and emptied it into Dutch's body. So they could say: John Marston killed Dutch. Completing their agreement.
The suits cost about $50,000 for one capable of stopping rifle rounds (Threat level IV). Trained soldiers or operatives would never attack in more than 5 together so you can't kill then all together in full auto fire or explosives. Professional killers usually work in 3 to 5 men teams even if you have 100s. If not one grenade would kill them all. John's riffle is capable of full auto but because they are small groups he has to fire in small burst of 1 to 3 shots to kill them and not run out of ammo. 77 kills on JW1, 128 kills in JW 2, 94 kills in JW 3 and, 140 kills in JW4 439 total all films.
If you get hit in any area that matters with that suit on but a rifle round you are probably going to die or be severely injured. Cloth does not absorb the energy from a rifle round well. You need armor with plates in it to protect you from a rifle round. (not cloth)
Which is used in the US Military. Which is more than likely a clue that John has served in the military. More specifically the US Marine Corps. But I don't think it has been officially confirmed yet

@@JessAndTessIt also gives insight to his past. That line is common with the US Military. Especially the US Marine Corps. I don't think it's been officially confirmed but a lot of people think John used to serve in the Marine Corps.
Guys I...ok let me start with my little moment with THE Keanu. In Rome all actors stay at the "De Russie" hotel in city center, i live 1 block over. it was 2 maybe 3 AM when nobody's around. I was returning home after a brutal MTG game and I see him in front of the hotel with a cigarette in his mouth searching his pockets for a lighter. At that point I approach him asking "need a light Mr. Reeves?" and I did some smalltalk with him, just the time of a cigarette, two perfectly normal human beings to be honest, didn't ask for fkn selfies or else. I just forced him to keep my bic lighter. He didn't want to, out of kindness, but i insisted for him to keep my damn 1€ lighter, which he did. And that's my little story. Returning to the tusk at hand.... how a guy saying CIAO can be russian? it fuckin says in the subtitles [IN ITALIAN] well, i paused, let me resume and oh, by the way....Ciao.
Audio isn't too great. We can't hear every detail. We each have 1 earbud in, and the volume low so we can hear each other. Cool story about Keanu though!
@@JessAndTess hahahaha thank you! Actually a very, very kind normal guy. I wasn't even out of my mind in the moment, it was... well I met Keanu Reeves, we had a cigarette, that was cool. Looking forward to the next 2 chapters reactions!
Everyone always thinks John cut the guy at the subway station in the junk. Understandably but he actually slices the femoral artery, which runs along the inner thigh close to the groin. This is why there is such a big splatter, because it is a major artery. I'm sure not many people care, but maybe someone will find the fact a bit interesting.
Some of us have studied a little bit of biology and just assumed it was obvious what happened there. I appreciate you pointing this out for anyone not familiar with or just not realizing what had been done.
Yep! We want to finish the movies before diving into it... also, not sure how we want to handle series' on the channel. But it's definitely on our list!
"The Pope should always be worried". People are always after the big hat. The mirror scene is a nod to Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon ending Final Boss fight, only the had to position the cameras out of reflective view manually and not by CG editing.
Every main city in the world has a Continental, The High Table is the governing body of John Wick's world, the gold coins you see are the main currency of this world
The coins have no actual monetary value. Only what they could be melted down for. They're symbolic currency. Nothing more than tokens. All 4 movies take place in the span of about 14 days. John Shot D'Antonio because like D'Antonio said. He has nothing left, really. And he knows that like with King, if Winston acts against D'Antonio, then the uppers will go after Winston. So, he's effectively making himself a target to save his friend/mentor, and willing to forfeit his life for that.
It's coming soon. There were some other things we wanted to get in also, and since editing takes so long, it spaces out the releases longer than we would like

john had to shoot her and she knew he would as a catholic she knew suicide was a sin but trusted him to save her soul
Basically, Santino helped John in his "impossible task" that was mentioned by Viggo in the first movie. The one that laid the foundation of what they are. In exchange, John gave his blood to Santino in the marker that he could claim anytime. John wick's world is about owing someone.
Right!... "You dont want me owing you" haha
Pretty metal
🤘😑🤘if you ask me. John Wick has religious undertones: As the white 🤍 room in the Museum, represents Limbo (Dante Alighieri). The red ♥️ room w/ mirrors, represents Hell (the Inferno 🔥). John goes underground: the elevator ride, into Hell to battle his way to above ground: Earth, Midgard as the Norse would say.
He's like Hercules: half human/half God. He survives: the stabbing, twice🩸. The fall from the: Rooftop Garden 🌳: Olympus. Winston is his father: Zeus. He says: goodbye Son in John Wick 4. And "This kingdom is mine, mine alone: Olympus, the Continental. ⚡ Winston wields John as a blunt instrument. Viggo is Ares, the God of War 🩸. John is a sword 🗡️ in Winston's hand: Explains why he's so loyal to Winston, his father, and why Winston: shows him grace 🌷. 1 hour before execution.
Charon is the: boatman in Greek mythology. His second dog is Cerberus: a Hellhound 🐕. Viggo's red shirt ♥️ represents War, blood 🩸 and death ☠️.
Not sure who Iosef is: have to look into it. Marcus: Iolaus. The Adjudicator is a Valkyrie: an agent of death ☠️. Hence all the black 🖤. The high table would be: the counsel of Olympus. Hera etc.
Not sure who Sofia represents or that Japanese dude from 4. Or Caine for that matter
Oh the tattoo "FORTES FORTUNA ADIUVAT" (there are some variations) it's latin for "Luck favors the bold". The road Tess is referring to is the roman forum, it was a marketplace, some time later a political center, more or less 2.600 years old.
Crazy they last that long
@@JessAndTess Yes, nobody knows but the Colosseum is actually usable, well maybe for concerts and not gladiators but it needs to be paved and would be good to go. Tons of stuff is still standing but our gov. sucks so bad it wouldn't spend a cent to restore any of it. How cool would it be to have your favorite band doing a gig in the Colosseum??!
It was never about the car. It was about his wife's last words in the card and her picture.
It's Jess' favorite movie!
ONLY a SUB-sonic round will be quiet and with that only in a closed chamber, not a gas or recoil operated semi-automatic. (bolt, lever or pump action would be MUCH quieter)
John shot Giana to save her the sin of suicide.
Does that work if you're already gone?
@@JessAndTess Technically, there is that brief time between unconsciousness and death.
True....
Also, John did have to be the one to kill her. He had to honor the marker.
(not cloth)
The best part is they do get even better.
His back tattoo is Latin it says “fortune favors the bold”
Which is used in the US Military. Which is more than likely a clue that John has served in the military. More specifically the US Marine Corps. But I don't think it has been officially confirmed yet
There is a fan theory that Winston is John Wick's father in law thats why is protecting him
the Continental is a spin off on showtime i believe
The bodyguard that looks familiar is the rapper/actor Common..
And this was the second time he and Kenau worked together/fought each other/had a shoot-out. The first time was STREET KINGS.
great film
Most car shops do leave them in the visor.
Great reaction, your movie cuts are fantastic, lot of people cut out the good parts
Appreciate it! We try to walk the finest line we can when editing to show as much without making youtube mad. It makes the editing take a lot longer, but hopefully makes the videos better!
Its the same dog, do you really think John Wick would just wait a few months before getting his car back...?
Tattoo on top of back "Fortis Fortuna Aduvat" is Latin for Fortune Favors the Bold (or Brave). The others images are Russian/Romani (Russian/Gypsie).
Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat is latin for "Fortune Favors the Bold" or some other variation of that quote
Thanks!
@@JessAndTessIt also gives insight to his past. That line is common with the US Military. Especially the US Marine Corps. I don't think it's been officially confirmed but a lot of people think John used to serve in the Marine Corps.
I don't think John cared that the car was destroyed he just wanted to card in the glove box
JW2 is my favourite movie in this franchise. Great reaction.
So far it's ours too!
The suit is bullet proof the gold coin only to pay the secret of the Red society underground❤ jhon wick is the baba yaga
'That poor car!' ...saw what you did there.
🤣🤣
YEAHHH....Thank you.
John nevet named the dog because he didnt want to become attached to him it would hurt if something happened to him
The entire series is goated
So far so great!
I honestly can't pick a favorite, I just take it as one big story. If I recall correctly the producers say that all 4 take place over like a week
Btw there is a TV show focused on the Continental. I believe it takes place before John wick 1 but I don't know for sure and I haven't watched it yet
20:03...they already mentioned why John gave Santino the marker, it was to help him leave the life he was leading so he can be with his wife....
Yeah, we were more interested in how.
Sounds better than getting stabbed in the chode
Some of us have studied a little bit of biology and just assumed it was obvious what happened there. I appreciate you pointing this out for anyone not familiar with or just not realizing what had been done.
Dog's name is "NO" haha
Wait... are you serious?
Hi folks nice reaction. Don't forget the TV miniseries called the Continental. About its origins and how Winston became the owner.
🤣
The dog is his real life dog
chapter 3 - 4 are crazy!!!!!
Can't wait to watch them. Tess got pretty sick so it delayed our schedule a little bit, but they are coming soon!
@@JessAndTess ah ok.. get well soon...
You guys should watch Man on Fire
Original (Scott Glenn) and the remake (Denzel Washington).
'He looks so familiar.' He has a really common face...
ha nice😏
Jess thought it was Common, but wasn't 100% sure he even knew who Common was lol
@@JessAndTess You two are correct with Santino it indeed was italian they were speaking when at John’s house
That’s common the rapper the one who was fighting John Wick the ball head guy that was giving John wick a challenge
They were in STREET KINGS together going at each other, too.
Every main city in the world has a Continental, The High Table is the governing body of John Wick's world, the gold coins you see are the main currency of this world
Jess, you are quite intuitive 🙂👍
👍
The coins have no actual monetary value. Only what they could be melted down for. They're symbolic currency. Nothing more than tokens.
All 4 movies take place in the span of about 14 days.
John Shot D'Antonio because like D'Antonio said. He has nothing left, really. And he knows that like with King, if Winston acts against D'Antonio, then the uppers will go after Winston. So, he's effectively making himself a target to save his friend/mentor, and willing to forfeit his life for that.
John wick 1 and 2 take place within 2 weeks of each other.
Next one! 😂
Working on it! Too many good movies... not enough time to edit 😭
By John Wick 4 the bounty on John is as high as 26 million
I'm looking forward to the reaction to John Wick 3 and 4, I'm sure you'll like them😊
Looking forward to making them! So far so great!
The coins really have no monetary value, they are used in exchange for goods and services
Cassian is the rapper Common
the pencil scene tho
😬😬
American psycho is definitely unique enough to be worth a watch
Great idea! We haven't seen that.
John Wick Nerd, here the Mustang was always that grey and black stripped, but the chevell was black, so that may be the confusion.
John Wick chapter 3 movie 🍿 reaction please my friend 💓💗💞💖🤝
It's on the way! We loved the first 2, so we can't wait for chapter 3. Make sure to subscribe to be notified when it goes live!
my sentiments exactly w/ jim carrey looking bloke
if you cut deep enough. and hit an artery. less then 30 seconds.
John Wick 3 and 4 are just as good too
For me, the women staffing the switchboard give off a "aged out of the SuicideGirls website" vibe. Definitely all the tats.
💯
It's common
'Sharing that information freely.' Except for the deaths of the informed.
Come on guys it's been 5 months do chapter 3 , also harry potter movies
It's coming soon. There were some other things we wanted to get in also, and since editing takes so long, it spaces out the releases longer than we would like
