It's hard to be an INTP female. Best bet is to find other NT's until you are comfortable then expand to other types. You can try out the www.gametree.me app to find these people. For relationships you may get along with an F guy if he's not egotistical.
Hi, I'm INTP and most of the games that I have on the steam are grand strategies and RTS. I not only play in single player mode but very often on multiplayer. However, the biggest problem I have when I'm playing against a human opponent is the time pressure. Although I make objectively better decisions, I often lose because I can't react quickly enough to the movements of my opponent.
That's interesting. It could be that in some ways of thinking you are between types. "I can't react quickly enough to the movements of my opponent." that does sound pretty accurate for INTPs who like strategies. Against INTPS I know my strategy will usually be to do unexpected things that force them to re-think their strategies, keep their attentions focused on unimportant things, or wait until they make a careless mistake from hyper-focusing on something else. Basically in a time-pressured environment take advantage of weak Se / extraverted sensing and keep them from being able to play to their Ti.
How to become friends with an INTP. Step 1: Complain about not being able to understand some part of academia Yeah, that's pretty much it. Give them opportunities to teach you and eventually you will be friends.

INTP, I love livestreams because we get to see decision making from really good players and speed runs fascinate me to a level of actually wanting to do it. The perfection of a run down to an art form really impresses me
Giant Robots do not have to have sophisticated A.I, just look at Gundam, no real personality in the basic variations...It's only The high end variations that have the beginnings of personality, and the capacity to move on their own...though original Gundam had a learning computer which gave it a quasi-consciousness....
I've never been much of a fan of strategy games. I'm more of a creative person. Strategy is more for the Te users. Our Ne is too interested in possible outcomes to bother with optimal strategies.

Yea games are great if they don't become addicting. Comparing INTJ and INTP seems interesting and are two of the types I know most people of. Will consider this.
(INTP here) although it's true that I prefer PC, (and "purpose made" portable consoles like the DS, 3DS, etc. because so far, it feels like every mobile game are low quality & "Lootbox/microtransaction-intensive") it's more because that if I feel like my PC's inadequate for a game, I'll just need to buy the one that're needed the most. While for consoles, It's as if I've bought a whole new PC. You know, having to start from scratch with settings and everything.
I would say on your part about games. INTP are the best at going from beginner to master in a short time. Honestly though, stratagy games and open ended games appeal to INTP the best. We love options more than anything else, and choice plays a larger role in stratagy games and less in the games you talked about. Overall good video though, even if you yourself are not an INTP, you got pretty close to the INTP thought process

Agreed, good sir. Strategy games are probably my favorite genre, aside from various sandboxes. Arcade shooters and other esports classics are boring me half to death.

For example, Warframe's Limbo, in short, when doing a Defense Mission (protecting a particular object for a certain amount of time) & using the right abilities, I can actually camp/go AFK, and still wait the timer out XD
Intp here. Intp like to play alot, be the best in their games, thet like strategy, rpgs and roleplaying games. Since i have no money i play games like league or hearthstone cause i personally like card games.

Yet another INTP gamer here. Although I have spent a lot of time on MMOs, it's mostly for the sheer amount of content and exploration. And I'm often thinking about how those would be better as single-player, since that'd allow for things such as modding...and, well, cheating. As for eSports, I find those utterly boring. Too many games to play, too many stories, too many new worlds to explore. I'd never waste time on mastering a single game.
Im an ENTP. Don’t mess with XNTPs or try to change them. We can easily spot manipulative behavior and are not easily manipulated. we are usually right because we think A LOT, are logical, and look at all sides of an argument before we make decisions. You can tell us what we are doing wrong in life, but we probably already know...we are just too lazy to fix it.
Steven Glansburg I know INTPs who like CS:GO. I generally see INTPs playing a lot of different games too though. Like most gamers will jump between a few games but NTPs can play like 10 different ones in a single month.
I love some optimistic people. Just not the ones who are always happy and bubbly and smiles and rainbows. I cant stand them. Just shut up and let me brood thanks. But an optimistic person who knows when to be angry and pissed but brush it off in like 2 hrs saying "We got this!" I can deal with them.
Am I the only INTP who hates Wikipedia? Most times the definitions use such a complex vocabulary that I end up researching them which is tiring to someone with low attention span. I don't think it vulgarizes enough but it is precise, which is what matters most, ultimately. Sorry for the rant

I was in the middle of it all back in the early 2000s when wikipedia first came out and wikipedians raped the free internet for content relentlessly, driving independent scholars off the internet for good. Why would anyone develop a research website dedicated to a specific topic when wikipedians are just going to come along, steal wholesale and put it up on wikipedia where it becomes free content with no attribution? Day 9 has mentioned that Starcraft isn't a strategy game. It's an APM game. These kinds of games aren't pure strategy.
