That bucket list keeps getting longer, but I have a pretty good chance of knocking this one off. Thanks guys. Keep the good stuff coming.

Man I love small stream fishing. But you are right, it is tough challenging fishing.

Nice video Colin 👍🎣. The views are spectacular. Stalking is most important, as they lay in under cut banks. Same as in England, hunting for big Chubb.

Thanks for the small stream video, my favorite fishing. I fish a number of irrigation canals in NE California that hold nice populations of browns. Great fun on a 2 wt. rod.

It’s interesting how someone like Colin who is an expert fisher & the host of the show still has people around him who feel they need to tell him how to catch trout. Great job & beautiful episode. Nice work👍🏼

Rik, thanks for calling me an "expert" but I will tell you that I always seek input from those around me. It is amazing how many small details can make a big different to your success. That is why I called the series The New Fly Fisher....no matter how much we learn, every time we go somewhere new, we learn due things (or we should!). Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated

    perfect for Tenkara!

Tenkara is great for small streams. I fish tenkara rods exclusively here in western NC. The wind you get out west can be a problem with ultra light tenkara lines. Furled lines and tapered lines help.

I know this is an older show but it amazes me to see, not just in this one, but in so many others, that the Pro’s don’t wet hands before grabbing the trout.

In 2004 nobody ever taught that, even the pros

When was this filmed? Why is the video and audio quality so bad? I like the content, but damn this looks and sounds so bad.

It was filmed in 2003 when the series was first started. We did not have the best equipment at that time. Would love to shoot this again with 4K cameras!
