    Hey don’t forget HR Giger. Tyranids were more than ‘heavily borrowed’ from his alien. And come on, space hulk was practically Aliens the board game. The very reason I got into nids was because am a massive Giger & Alien fan

    I think £150 BEFORE FLGS discount is the maximum “fair” price by GW standards for this HH box

    If I were running the intro game, I’d spin a loss into a Dawn of War-style narrative:
    As the Space Marine Captain lays dying, the Lord of Contagion standing over him and gloating over his victory, the captain can see past the Lord into the sky, and see tiny points of light growing ever brighter: drop pods, filled with his battle brothers. He knows in his final moments that he may be slain, but his brothers will visit the Emperor’s wrath on the traitors, and one of them will strike down the Plague Marine and avenge him.
    Even in a loss, the narrative result of the Intro Game should point in the Marines players’ favor; his models may be beaten, but there are a _lot_ more coming down from there, all he lost was one battle in a war he’ll surely emerge from victorious.

    Im not a 40k player but that lucious (sic) model is better than anything they revealed during the commercial IMO.

    Getting angry at losing your first game doesn't make any sense because you learn through mistakes...Or you can embrace the janky rules and play nurgle daemons for the sweet sweet moral victory of killing vehicles with Nurglings. Or just surviving loads of shots that should kill my units but don't because of jank lol Anyhow I digress. if you're getting angry at a toy solider game then grow up or move on. The guy was an arsehole.

    GW is a business and the online crackdown is GW shooting themselves in the foot while pissing away millions of dollars in business a year. There's being protective of an IP and then there's being spiteful toward your fan base. No matter how much GW takes their fans for granted, the hobby of TT gaming has exploded in recent years and there are literally hundreds of other choice, fun games to play on par with 40k or more fun

      Companies are often legally obliged to protect their IP, regardless of whether they personally want to or not. If they don't fight the small stuff, it will harm them legally if/when a more egregious IP infringement takes place. Which would cost them much more in the long run.

    You tipp only when someone did a job above the norm. For doing your job normally you get paid, I absolutely hate tipping culture. If I am buying something for 20$ it's 20$ not 25$ because hidden costs.

    • @jeffers1985
      @jeffers1985 2 года назад +3

      America culture since in us they don't get minimum wage, but keep all the tip.
      So in UK you are tipping ontop of their wage. I only tip if they went that extra step

      I was wondering where this came from xD I tip if the person has done a good job, been polite and been attentive if I need something. I also know it is a SHITTY job, so I tend to be soft too.

    • @viorp5267

      @@northernexile I guess I am just jaded from all those reddit posts where a waiter says "this guy did not tip me so I spit in his coffee" or "whenever I see foreigners I make sure to mess up their food on the way because I know they won't tip".
      I don't have lots of surplus money. I will pay the price listed. if I get worse treatment because of that I certainly won't be happy about that. If I ever have lots of money sure I can tip, but tipping is not something that should be taken for granted.

      Tipping was born from British tea houses where people would tip the waiters to bribe them to being them the tea first since the freshest tea taste best.
