You most definitely have to touch her puddle I've not had the pleasure of having to do alot of verticals with stick is he pushing the puddle up in the gad like if he was whip n pause with mig
Honestly on here for the sick welding. Teaching myself to weld on a Lincoln 90i. As soon as he said pull out though?? My eyes darted to the amount of comments on a sweet welding video. I knew there would be some witty banter. Thank you my fellow weld nerds for not disappointing me.
Cool info clip ! Pulling out was the method we were introduced with for 3G during apprenticeships .Took me years and years to discover that wasn't correct method for anything more than 8 mm material thickness. Even remember seeing on some Info-graphics from top end manufacturers of consumables where there was no reference to pullout - the (root) problem behind porosity , fisheyes, slag inclusions and the like - certainly a No -No with flaw detection! Whatever we've learnt there will be room for refinement
Been trying this method out, but not quite getting it right. Definitely better than what i did before. Some of the problems i get is burn through (amperage too high) and massive roots. Another problem is that it fills when i move up to remove material. Overall i get a pretty uneven root and weld. Need more practice
@@zekedelafuentejr5626voltage? Stick is Amps. Also if he's blowing through a smaller land is not good advice. My recommendation is a slightly bigger land, maybe 1/32-1/16 bigger depending. Or slightly lower amperage, drop it 3-5 and see if you get any progress. Could also be blowing through if your arc length is changing, when you "WHIP" upward, (stitch is a weird term, ive always called this method WHIPPING) make sure you keep the rod into the plate, do not pull the rod out of the joint as you manipulate which can sometimes happen unintentionally.
@@christopherhenriques5557 I have a Lincoln 300 ocv’s is how you adjust fine current I’m not using an electric welding machine that’s why it’s voltage my friend
I was still having issues with too much heat keeping the puddle from solidifying so there would be times i would whip it like 6 or 7 times, not move up any n just have that spot a lot bigger then anywhere else, i was running at 69 amps doing so
What’s the plate thickness, gap, land & amps you’re running. Also all the welders I know we call this pattern a whip & pause not a stitch weld. Stitch weld is different

Ok
Instructions unclear, now I have 18 children...... Thanks a lot.
Dude I just made a joke to my homie right here that I be rippin through both his mommas walls. Then I seen this. Great minds think alike my friend.
shameful 🤣
I want 180,000 kids
😂
As soon as he says “You never want to pull out” I knew the comment section was going to be lit.
😂😂😂😂
Not Pulling out is why I'm learning how to weld now!!
Samn bud.
You Bad MoFo!
Never pull out
You must pull out when changing elektrode
Never pull out, touch ur pudl.. deep in the walls
@@ImmortalOnenesssAll up in those walls
You don't have to pull out of the butt... weld.
@icecolddr-pepper4486 first round you finish deep in them walls, the second .. u finish on the surface
So touch the puddle and no pull-out?
Gotta keep it wet
Never pull out
Pulling out creates defects
Never pull out, assert your dominance.
“All we go-na dew…” lol
Up, and the deee-an
I like that wet spot and not having to pull out too !

Nice tight arc and maintaining the electrode angle all the way up, text book weld. Listen to that crackle as the arc is pushing through.
Soooo .....up deeeown up deeeown rip dem walls and touch tha puddle is and what you don't want ta deeewww is pull out.
I'll say 😂
Very new to welding. I tried this with my Mig welder. It works really well!

This'll be the first guy I've ever heard call whip and pause method a "stitch"
Great work sir

Make sure your landing is a nickel landing and you set your machine on the proper voltage ocv practice practice practice

Wow Ang galing Ng Pag ka instructions ne sir
Ampage is crucial for this weld.

The thickness of the materials used also plays a big factor.
😂😂😂 i was being mature until he said pull out that was the last straw
I’ve been told to never let your puddle be in front of your rod is that true?
Idk how your rod would be behind your puddle.
Oh no my rod stuck
How did you get the beans above the frank?
Very useful tip!
6010 is the only rod im aware of where you can use the stitch method when stick welding. Any other rod and you'd drag fpux back into your weld.
Thats what my girlfriend said "dont pull out" now i am stuck with childsupport payments. 😅
Doesn't work anyways
She needs hers as much as you!!!
😂😂😂
How Many Amperes Are Used For Root Welding??
Uh, point of order; pulling out (while not a foolproof plan) is always better than NOT pulling out 😂😂😂😂
If you pull out, you'll leave a mess in the gap....

Last time I didn't pull out I had a kid 😅😢
Will try that at the shop today,
Nice method❤
This is for celulosic root welding. For low hydrogen it's a lot less movement but greater arc length control. 😊
The old "whip & pause."
So wonderful ❤
That's what she said.
Outstanding - I never pull out.
I always called it cut and fill cut fill cut fill cut fill
Always pull out!
Nice landing
“Stuch your studdle”
Great work though!
Got moved up from flat to horizontal that shit is hard I hate using a 6010 😭
Ummm when you said never pull out I was like haha I never do
don’t pull out! got it!!
😂😂
Damn boy ur hand is stiff...I love it
Would this also work with a 1/4” root 30 degree bevel for a 3 g uphill weld test
So simple when ya no how
nice job
Better explanation than I’ve seen
My pullout game sucks anyway. Seems i should get into doing some stitching.
But I have been pulling out all of my life 😂
Bahut acchi badhiya hai bhai thank you bro
Ever run any 7016? Like 7018,but specifically for open root
That’s why I have 3 kids now 🤦🏻♂️
Show us the Bead on the reverse side.
Elmo's couch pulls out, but Elmo doesn't.

What’s your included bevel angle
Whip - Pause > Stich UP-Down.
That's what my mom said when. I was convinced 😂... And then God made a welder 🎉
It really is that easy
Can i see the results 🧐 dude did us like the cookin channels when they meas up a meal 😅
