I remember having this! It was one of my favorites out of all my book and tape sets, even though the monster in it was the scariest thing I'd ever seen back then.
I had a collector's case full of these books and tapes as a kid; besides a bunch of Star Wars stories, there was also Dark Crystal, Black Stallion Returns, and more. Ah, the good old days...
I had this in a Swedish dubbed cassette when I was a young kid back in the 80’s/early 90’s. This is the first time seeing this in at least 30 years. Wow ❤
The art is done so well in the eighties. In the nineties art was scaled back so much so it was outsourced after a while. You really notice it too late seventies was a peak for science fiction and art.
Man... I still have this tape and booklet in a box... it's entirely translated into Swedish (both book and tape). Fun to finally hear the English version.
I can't believe but can someone correct me did I get the Easter egg correct, can I verify we just witnessed the first Hoojib live action in The book of Boba Fett Episode 2 scene as the creature in which one of the Hutt twins is dabbing his skin with, could it be a.................HOOJIB!?
as an 80's kid, thank you so much for posting these...I had this one as a kid...
Thanks for the memories. I used to have this! And my brother had the Droid World one.
So Do I.

OMG-- I listened to this EVERY night as a kid!
Had this as a kid..I still have it..these were magical..
Man, this scared the heck out of me when I was little. Such a well done story.
How many times did I listen to this as a kid? Good art, excellent music, and outstanding voice acting!

This is an adaptation of one of the 1977 marvel Star Wars comics. Thank you for posting this.
I was thinking of doing a Marvel Comics Edition of this using the original comic panels.
Had this as a kid. Loved it. SWTOR needs a hoojib pet!
Had this on book and tape is as a kid. It was adapted from Marvel Comics issue #55 circa 1981. It was a cool story.
Thanks you for sharing, I had a few of these, cant remember if I had this one, I do remember the ewok tv series from the late mid eighties

Thank you so much! this is me from when I was 4 thank you!!
Long time no see my innocent young years.
Oh, if this was only somehow worked into "Star Wars: Rebels"...
A few Hoojibs used to live on my street. I shit you not. One of them even went to my school.
I Have Both Droid World And Planet Of The Hoojibs.
5 years since last comment and HOOJIBS are now relevant again⚡
Still better than The Last Jedi
I'd accept this as Star Wars canon over the Disney movies.
I Like Planet Of The Hoojibs.
Better than any Disney or prequel trash
I had this and DW on 45.
I dont know about anyone else, but I was waiting for the part when the narrator says "If you would like to hear it again, turn the tape over."
Ah ... they don't do Star Wars spin offs like they used to
this has the same stock music as those Star Trek movie readalongs!
I miss this narrator voice.

This narrator sounds so familiar. Did he also narrate a story called "Alf Goes Wild" by any chance? He sounds like the same narrator.
Probably
Spoiler!!!
There's a hoojib in the second episod of the book of boba fett. The male hutt twin uses one as a handkerchief.!

That's was my first guess too.
I believe she did do Leia's voice in all of the old SW read-along records.
This is where Porgs came from
