For Chev Sonic, it is not necessary to remove the whole front assembly. I replaced my horn yesterday. Procedure: jack up the front left, remove the wheel, remove 3 lowest screws fastening the liner to the fender as well as 3 or 4 of the lowest plastic fasteners on the inside of the liner. Underneath the front of the car there are 2 screws holding the liner in place, with tabs extending under the chin spoiler. Remove those 2 screws. Pull the bottom of the liner out from under those 2 tabs. At that point the bottom of the liner is loose and also very flexible. Simply bend the bottom of the liner 90 degrees back toward the brake and use a piece of wire to hold it there. The horn is totally visible and accessible, looking straight up from beneath the car. Re-secure the liner and you’re done. An easy, quick job. In my case the horn was very weak. The issue was badly corroded contacts on the stock Fiamm horn.
Thanks a lot, after my first set was replaced under warranty I have to do this myself. It's aggravating, the sad state of cars when they put cheap parts on them is disgusting.
I can’t seem to find any info about our Chevy Malibus! Year 2008-2012! I have a 2011. I want to change my horn but I’ve been looking online where it is but no luck smh
