Richard Hillman Full Killer Storyline (2002-2003)
Per request.
Personally, my favourite part of this storyline. There is one more part to be uploaded and it should be up later this week.
I do not own anything from this video, all rights go to ITV and Granada.
All uploads that get blocked here will be uploaded here: www.dailymotion.com/dm_4ec472...
The fact that so many of us have likely just sat and watched this storyline in its entirety over several hours is testament to how excellent it really was.
Yes, one of Coronation Street's finest moments.
G 6. The 6ttttrSßsda❤
Agreed 👍
I've watched the whole thing many times over. its wonderful
@@IvanAslanov-jz8js The show went downhill after that.
"you're norman bates with a briefcase" will forever remain an iconic corrie line
That line and "You aint my muvvah!" belong on the Count Rushmore of soap lines.
imagine if Norman Bates met Will from The Inbetweeners then that means they will be BBF's (Briefcase Buddies Forever)
Possibly Coronation street's best storyline in history. So well paced throughout. Great characters.
Definitely
and the Greatest Villain in UK Soap History
Got to agree...can't rem how old I was but it was huge....had all UK talking and booing..😂 this was the days when soaps had awesome writers.
Tell me about it. I've been up all night watching!
WOW!!!! A bottle of Vodka, lased with Diazapan?!! Aiden's lucky to be breathing!
@@TyMarshall007 yes he was.
The last half hour of this is jaw dropping. Script, acting, character. Wow.
That part was better than any murder thriller film. You could cut the tension and Gail's fear and shock with a knife. Absolutely superb acting all round.
I think this story was the best story ever in any soap. Richard Hillman was the best villian I've ever seen in a soap. I was completely hooked on coronation Street with this amazing story. I've never seen a better one than this.
God Bless Roy Hudd, whom played Archie Uttlesworth in Corrie. He passed away 14 days ago poor old devil he was a lovely old bloke RIP
Archie Shuttleworth
I never knew that, so sad rest in piece
Loved the Archie Shuttleworth character - RIP Roy Hudd
Yes he was.
He died on my 15th birthday:(
"When's it due in?"
"Last Friday"
mood
Force fed her woodbines and Norman Bates with a briefcase are the two greatest lines delivered in any soap. And they managed it in one episode.
"You're Norman Bates with a briefcase."
Love that line.
I don’t think Corrie is ever going to have a villain as good as Richard
They keep trying to repeat it and failing
I think pat phelan came pretty close
Richard Hillman vs Pat Phelan? Who'd win that fight?
@@alisonjones8041 Phelan obviously....Hillman went for easy targets
Alison Jones if it were a battle of wits, Hillman every time. A physical fight, Phelan every time!
I was born in the middle of this storyline the episode when Richard confessed everything to Gail was on the 23rd of February 2003 and my mum was watching it and she went into labour so now 17 years later I'm watching it
Erika Maxine Maxine lol
Thanks for making everyone feel old 🤣
@@toadynose89 U
@@toadynose89 your bloody right ✅ 👌 👏 👍 🙌 there.
That's not the middle then it's close to the end
The start of this part 4 with the Killer Corrie thing was just the best
2002 in soaps belonged to richard hillman. He was untoucable and showed why in my opinion why he is was the greatest corrie villian of all time.
The actor won five awards at the British soaps awards 2003 to
Thank you so much for uploading and editing all of this!
Brian deserved all the awards for his portrayal of Richard. Also I loved the ad at the beginning. I remember it at the time, but seeing it again made me realise how wickedly fun it was.
Best ever storyline not just in corrie, in the whole of soap..ever !!!
So well written and so well acted.the attention to every single detail !! Wow .
UK is in lockdown, this definitely is the best way to spend they day :D
Init
Yes
It’s spelt the not they day
😂
True facts
I’ll put the kettle on, a serious scene that had me bursting out with laughter at the time 😂😂 also when Richard when said “it wasn’t planned or anything” as if it makes Patricia’s murder any better 😂
I'm always at a battle of feelings with Richard as I hate him for being evil but can't help but like him when he does nice things for the family lol!! you can see he means well but does it the wrong way, and he always says hilarious and iconic lines lol I think that's why he's one of everyone's fave villians lol
It's the flicker of guilt in his eyes over Maxine that adds to his character. I know he regretted making a mess of the plan, but I think he also regretted breaking up a happy young family like the Peacocks deep down, because in his twisted mindset old people were disposable but a happy family was his ideal.
Yes I feel the same way
He has Walter White energy
Possibly the greatest Storyline in Coronation Street and the Greatest Villain in Soap History
He is the greatest Villain in soap history and possibly the greatest storyline in coronation street.
I remember when this was on originally. It was like a spoiler alert. RICHARD IS PUTTING HIS GLOVES ON AGAIN!
So basically Sarah going to see Aidan and finding out he had sleepers in his system is what got Richard found out.
3:11:06 "She gets it off her mother" what a line
👏👏👏👏
‘I liked Maxine, she were fittest neighbour we had’. Lol that made me laugh.
Unbelievable storyline. I've watched this series 7+ times even though I watched it on TV back when it was current - seeing it knitted together like this is absolutely fantastic. Thanks so much @corrieplatfan
That intro was really creepy. Richard was the best villain ever
Brian Capron might have only been in it for a few years but he's one of the all time acting greats on Corrie
"How could it be an accident!? She was hit over the head with a crowbar!" 😂
Just to add: it's amazing how good Brian Capron is at acting. He pulls off the character so well that it almost feels authentic. Brian is exceptional at this role and he's honestly set the standard way too high for soap villains. You can't make a better villain than Richard. Not unless he were to do something even more sinister -- like spread COVID-19 to all the elderly people.
He was also great as Mr Hopwood in Grange Hill.
😂😂😂
Someone said he's excellent at playing a bad actor, almost like the play in the play in Hamlet
“ *But I can’t guarantee my neighbours will* “ very chilling 😱😱
I remember when Brian Capron who plays Richard Hillman was in the live action 101 Dalmations as a news reporter on the TV
20 years and still the greatest Storyline in Soap history
The trailer for it really hyped this storyline up crazy
@@kbone797CNN c I
😮
Thanks for taking the time to post these!! Soaps were so much better in these times!
The thing that ruined Corrie was the fact that they did storylines of killers once every blue moon, nowadays every other day there’s a new killer on the street.. phelan gary Stephen etc
FR not knowing when one will show up was the best :(
Why would anyone want to live in Coronation Street. There must be something in the water. How many serial murderers can live in one street?
Whoever made this is amazing the edit is top notch
The opening to this like a ghost documentary
Ngl scared the shit out of me when Audrey sat up ahaha
Corrie has tried many times since this storyline to recreate magic, but never got close. Phelan was a good villain, but it all seemed contrived. As if it was supposed to be Eileen's comeuppance for all the years she tormented Gail. This entire saga felt natural from start to finish. Everything was gold. Even the characters they chose to use for this storyline (Norris, Rita, Emily, Gail, etc) were the perfect choices.
They tried to make Phelan too many things - rapist, fraudster, thug, bully, murderer, thief - whereas Richard was a more realistic conman who picked his fights carefully. Also, Richard genuinely loved Gail (or at least the idea of a wife), whereas Phelan loathed Eileen and only used her.
Not as good as Richard hillman
This was a fantastic storyline. I remember being hooked !!!
Even if you werent a soap fan at that time people were hooked his acting was that good!
Best storyline Corrie ever had. I haven’t watched it in over 18 months. It’s unwatchable nowadays
"You should've stayed at the party, Maxine"
Norman Bates with a briefcase 🤣
The Alan Bradley and Richard Hillman storyline's are the best Correy has ever filmed so much better than today's
Thank you!! I left UK in 2002, missed all this. Just binged watched it and it was brilliant!!!
Where do you live now?
If I am honest the last time I watched Corrie was when David pushed Gail down the stairs. But I absolutely love this storyline. The actor who portrayed Richard is such a great actor. They are all amazing actors they really are.
Brian Capron as Richard, he was brilliant!!
He was great in Grange Hill too as Mr Hopwood
Coronation street is one of the best soap on TV of all time
The trailer on the start is amazing
Thank you for making these I love watching these storylines
The things you remember during lockdown. Amazing upload and amazing find. I remember seeing the episode where he kills the girl with the crowbar after knocking out the old lady. I was ten. Scary stuff
One of my Favorite Corrie Villains! Brian Capron puts a Storming Performance as Richard..Brilliant stuff!
Love this so much definitely keeping me entertained for self isolation ☺😊👍
Thank you so much for uploading these. It must have taken ages. You're very appreciated! 💙💙
Thank u 4 putting the storylines up keep them coming im really enjoying these I love these old episodes corrie now as gone downhill I stopped watching I would rather watch all these old 1s 😃😃
You're amazing! Thanks so much! :)
Yes, Brian Capron's performance is superb but don't forget Alan Bradley (Mark Eden) and Rita (Barbara Knox), both put in a par excellence during their time.
Thank you so much for making these
Great video as always keep them coming
Another part of one of the greatest storylines ever! Can you please upload the Katy Martin storyline next? Thanks so much for your dedication
So he killed 2 of his ex wives, tried to kill Audrey, tried to kill Emily, maxine caught him so he killed her, responsible for dougies death his business partner and tried to kill Gail and the kids he's and would never have got this far if Audrey was believed
Tanya Rees I suppose Killman Hillman was clever to make it look like Audrey was suffering from dementia, so no one would believe her claims.
I didn't kill 2 of his ex-wives, only Patricia. His first wife died from a stroke

@@FullPlaythroughs A stroke? Oh so he used a golf club that time. I see 😂
I love that advert👏👏 So well done!
I’m not a fan of coronation Street, but Richard hillman is THE BEST villain they’ve ever had. No one will beat him .
Thank you!!
Seeing Ashley and Doreen discover Maxine like that was actually really hard to watch 😪😪💔💔
Richard hillman the GOAT 🐐
I like Richard, he's a good villain and Brian Capron play his part well but I feel like I cry everytime that he's upset. The whole storyline is amazing but I wish that there was more.
So enjoying this through UK lockdown
I watched this during the lockdown also. Back again though. 🤣
No danger 🤣 sourface.
THANK YOU so much again! you are killing it with these amazing videos!
Phantom Byte Thanks for the kind comment
Pun intended?
@@corrieplattfan4847 u know how Richard hillman killed ppl for money when killed people did their money properties and cars assets house everything they own and sell it
1:38:30 That's a good example of just how charismatic Richard was. He charmed Gail so much that she was brainwashed into thinking he can do no wrong. Then there's Ken, stating an obvious fact, and getting blamed for it by Gail! Only to find out Ken was right. Aidan WAS framed by Richard.
2:08:46 I'm sorry but this is pure gold. The man who killed Maxine is the local hero, and treated like he's the King of England. Man, you can't get anymore ironic than that. If only what they knew..
I always thought Audrey should have been more visibly upset over the death of her ‘second daughter’ Maxine. She’s more concerned about catching Richard.
Grief works in different ways. You'll be surprised how many people do this to find someone to blame during grief
It's clear that Richard had no guilt for Audrey and Emily because of their age but clearly did for Maxine
If there’s one thing I’d fault with this story, it’s that after such a long build up, Gail twigs what’s happened in the space of one episode.
I’m not a fan of coronation Street, but this was the best storyline they have ever made in the history of the show, Brian capron was excellent as his character Richard hillman , the acting by everyone in the storyline was excellent 👌 💯🏆🏆🏆
44:00 Hillman coolly slotting his way back to the party after bludgeoning two people with a crowbar was one of the most best Hillman bits for me, couldn’t give a damn, singing happy birthday and for she’s a jolly good fellow 🤣
i watched this the first time uk went on lockdown i’m now watching on the third lockdown ahaha
Same here
Interesting unusual car spot, they're using a Citroen XM as a background car, old Citroens are often driven by 'Media types', so it might be a crew car ;-).
Corrie wouldn't be able to pull of something this good today
Very interesting storyline.Richard hillman strikes again.Roy hudd R.I.P.
I didn't expect to be saying this upon rewatch, but I think Richard Hillman might actually be one of the best written villains of all time.
It was just after this period that I stopped watching Coronation Street. I think I made the right decision. How could anything since have topped the Richard Hillman storylines?
From now on I'm staying at the party!
Richard Hillman is the greatest soap villain of all time
I like how in the trailer his eyes look black and empty.
Back when Corrie was great ☺️
Back when Corrie was good!
Why what wrong with it now
@@lightningbeast4556 Boring Storylines Useless Characters Predictable Storylines and I Could go on
Audrey and Noris the new Holmes and Watson😂 Lolz I love those two
They were brilliant, I was a kid at the time and too young to appreciate the complexity of this storyline. Such a well-written murder case by soap standards.
Should do Aiden critchley storyline
Richard Hillman , best soap Gillian of all time
I’d say that was Gillian Taylforth 😂
I just can't believe that he didn't get rid of the bracelet at any point during the time he killed Patricia and Gale finding out the truth, that bracelet was a huge red flag and all it needed was one time for Steve McDonald (or Karen) to spot it and comment on where he found it, which is exactly what happened. You'd think Richard would have "accidentally" lost it at some point, especially with the close call he already had with it with Patricia's friend
Id have to33ed it after taking it off Steve at the site.
That's what I always keep thinking as well!
Maybe he thought his high standing in the Street would shield him from any doubt: see how he turned Gail against her own mum. If Steve was is in his sights, who knows what he would have done? It could also be an arrogance issue as well, like ‘No one can touch me’.
This was brilliant
Richard was the ultimate Baddie in Coronation Street Brian Capron is a tremendous Actor Gails Punchline "youre twisted your Norman Bates with a Briefcase was comedy timing Helen Worth stole the scene with that line
Such a beautiful scene between Ashley and Emily
His first excuse was textbook 😂 he killed a young mother and tried to kill an oap to set up a rebellious 16 year so he could break up two teenagers 😂😂😂 thats classic
This whole storyline had some brilliant black comedy moments.
Pat phelan wasn’t a patch on Richard hillman .
He was just a deck through and through but Richard was complex and had the potential to be kind and loving.
@@MsTinkerbelle87 aw ok
Great storyline, great acting by Helen, Sue, and Brian ❤️ this is when corrie was at its best, all going down on itv3 at the moment!!
Yep I can't wait to get home each night and watch them on Sky Q! 😀
@@paulmcallister8948 Great watching;, It’ll be a few weeks when the canal episode finally airs!
@Isafell2001 yeah theyre just up to just before Christmas. With Richard planning his next move! But what an actor Brian is. The way he switches from charming family man to a stone cold killer. Honestly, the expressions and stares he pulls! With a twinkle in his eye! It is totally mesmerising. And I can remember it today like it was yesterday! And not 20 years ago!!
@@paulmcallister8948 It’s an awful pity that Corrie isn’t like that today, these earlier storylines were miles ahead of todays storylines
Brian is a brilliant actor ☺️☺️☺️☺️
2.27.50 Curly to Richard: 'We can't use the builder we had'. Was it Pat Phelan who had been giving backhanders to Councillor Chris Melton?
You should of stayed at the party Maxine, what a line Mr Hillman came out with
35 minutes, Ashley acting tough is adorable 😂 Ade Critchley was a good character surprised they never brought him back.
Richard nearly confessed in Church.
Watching this now I'm hooked.
"They won't bury me" they did tho
No, they cremated him 😅
When Richard says let's go spot the milk man I hope he means find Bethany real father 😂
