    The videos which were made several years ago really showcase the improvements that have been made on your homestead. Y'all should be very proud of what you have achieved. The one percent improvement philosophy is definitely working for you and inspiring others.

    Plants as windbreaker… this is so true! We just had a super typhoon. Luckily we had bamboo around our house. Some bamboo poles actually broke and fell on our roof but at least it stopped the wind from blowing our roof away….

    I am forever thankful that I came across your channel and started learning about permaculture farming and the practices that Joel Salatin uses/teaches. Around 2013/14, I helped a friend work in his commercial chicken houses and knew that I wanted to work in agriculture in some capacity. However, I also knew that I didn’t want to raise chickens that way because of the conditions they live through in those large chicken houses. Since starting to learn about permaculture, I plan to use that style of farming when I retire in about 3-5 yrs. I can’t wait to get started, but I’m in my waiting room, as Jessica Sowers puts it…and I’m watching/reading as much about permaculture farming as I can.Thanks for everything that you teach us.

She has bred meat rabbits for about 10 years so she knows what's what. I have nor never will breed rabbits so I didn't finish the video but knowing how much she puts into her youtube channel and their videos I'm sure it is fairly straight forward. Joy Giles

    Possums also eat rats (they have a large overlap in niche). Thank you for acknowledge we are in the ecosystem, part of it, thank you! Non corporate trained (traditionally) ecologists love Regenerative Agriculture. I so appreciate your channel, your videos, your passion, and your whole family, thank you. Holy Chicken Squat (LOL), still laughing. Chickens also calm people. I live on a creek, across which I have a lot of neigbours who can look into my yard. Last summer I noted people in the afternoon and evening on their beaches with binoculars...this weirded me out, I found out they were watching our chickens for entertainment and relaxation. I never much thought of it, but even my husband loves sitting outside over his lunch and watch the birds while eating. They are relaxing. Thank you for your knowledge, take care

    The possum doesn't eat as much ticks as people say. The claim was from a study in that they covered a possum in ticks and then counted how many it ate in an hour then made the number off that. That would be like covering a human with ticks and count how many ticks they crush in an hour and say humans are so good at killing ticks.

      From my own point of view, you need to invest smartly, if you need the good things of life. so far i've made over $505k in raw profits from just q4 of the market from my diversified portfolio strategy and i believe anyone can do it you have the right strategy. mutual funds takes long time but investing smartly is the key for short term. Most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.

    • @danielrichter465
      @danielrichter465 2 года назад +2

      My portfolio is very much diversified so it's not like i have a particular fund i invest in. plus i don't do that by myself. i follow the trades of KAREN GAYE GRAY. She is a popular broker you might have heard of. I can correctly say she's worth her salt as a financial adviser as her diversification skills are top notch/ I say because i see that in her results as my portfolio grows by averages of 10 to 15% on a monthly basis. unlike i can say for my IRA which has just been trudging along. my portfolio just mirrors what she trades and not just on some particular industries of my choosing.

    • @d_ken
      @d_ken 2 года назад +3

      By following trades do you mean copying her trades, as is done in etoro? Are you giving her your money or the money stays in your account? I have heard about copying trades but have not looked into it but i have an idea of what it is.

    • @danielrichter465
      @danielrichter465 2 года назад +2

      Yeah exactly. My money stays right in my account. It's all programmatic. plus it's relatively much easier to set up and connect my accounts than creating a financial pan and drafting investment strategies myself. my account just mirrors her trades in realtime

    We actually feed our opossums and raccoons. We have a hill where we throw our trash that decays naturally, like cardboard, paper, wood, brush etc...and we toss the food down there for them. They turn it and shred it and poop on it and help it rot down into soil. Also...because we do this, they will walk right through our flock of chickens and ignore them completely to go for what they see as easy food. We can also get rabies bait blocks there during bad years so they are inoculated. Also...take hollowed out eggs for crafts. Feathers make great crafts...you can sort them and send them to people who make miniatures, tie flies for fishing, make ornaments (think the small breast feathers layered like dragon scales around a Christmas ornament), doll making, jewelry making. Walnut shells if you can open them directly in half also make for great crafts. Walnut and black walnut hulls make a great hair conditioner, and conditioner for dogs that helps keep fleas and flies and skeeters off of them (smells nice, too). The feet of chickens make fantastic jellied broth, along with their nards, combs, wattles, heads and the unlaid eggs.

    But the great chicken bedding/manure was never put into the gardens! The pole barn deep bedding was never spread on the pastures. Plants were never planted for privacy, wind block, or mulch! He never works on a compost pile! If you don't have a good compost pile, you can't properly amend the soil. All of this on Abundace Plus to make money BUT he doesn't do any of it himself. Other homesteads, actually, use awesome compost and tell you how to make it! Other homesteads use other amendments and explain why it's needed! Other homesteads don't ask you to pay for the advice!!

      Dale he just showed us this video where the pole barn hadn’t been built yet.. also the manure was discussed showing the garden and woods chips multiple times. Perhaps going back in his videos to see when the pole barn was built which I don’t think was all too long ago I think 2020, and see that in this video the bus is in the background so that’s a few years older.. take a moment to re-evaluate your comment and see that yes all of what you remarked has and is being done. This guys goal is to by the land around his farm… for that he needs millions of dollars. He’s made no secret of his desire to buy more land. If you believe his dumpster diving poverty beginnings, then he’s not starting off rich and getting richer, he starting medium poor. Abundance Plus is his money making machine. There are some laudable principles being promoted here. RUclips has become his Abundance Plus promotion channel.
