I am a Celtic fan. The theory that Ange's game plan caused stress injuries at Celtic is a myth. His tenure was from June 2021-June 2023. Here are the stress injuries for players considered among the best 15 players available for Celtic in the squad. September 2021 - C. @@leomac3464 Also, I have watched every single training video released by the Spurs. Never seen them do any intensive training in those videos. So curious.
Also, a change of manager is no guarantee a change of fortune. There is no greater example of this than Man Utd. At the end of the day if you don’t have the squad not even a change of manager will turn things around.
What I would really like to know, if these players don’t do any weight lifting to strengthen there bodies. Are they more injury prone cause they just warm up and then do sprints??
There is no way those responsible for injury management at Spurs would not be aware of this information. And these injuries didn't start this season. So far out of the present top 7 Spurs have only taken 3 points (Man City) . In order to rotate players and pick up less injuries and be less tired might it be prudent to field a full second string team against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, even Man city and take a loss and hopefully have our best players available to beat the likes of Ipswich , Forest , Wolves ,Leicester, Brighton. etc. 6 more points and Spurs would be 6th. its not rocket science . The top clubs have been doing it in cups for years. We need to be real until we have a greatly improved squad .
Here is how crazy this season is, this morning Ipswich best Chelsea 2-nil. Spurs were criticised for the loss to Ipswich yet one of the inform teams is well beaten this morning. There simply are no easy games, any team can beat another team whenever they are in form. Unfortunately for us it is a team not picked on form or tactic, it is on who is available. It is like playing a game of Tetris, that is, simply slotting in players so we can to field a team. It is good the club appear to understand and are standing by Ange. Having said this a loss to Tamworth would be the end of Ange. Spurs need to dip into the Jan window and get two to three players. Problem is Man City will spend big in the Jan window in a hope to turn things around.
I only hope the club powers that be deal with the current situation like adults. No decision on Ange can sensibly be made until he at least he has most of his players back fur an extended period. This club is clearly solvent and profitable. At some stage, maybe it can compete with the likes of Chelsea and Man City in the player market, until then buying brilliant kids and building a strong team over time that way is the only way I see Spurs competing at the top. Ange knows that. I suspect the powers that be know that too. How many trophies has Ange won in his career? How many has Spurs won in the same period? How long did that useless manager Nuno get to build success? His current club seems to have been at least a little bit patient. How long did those losers Mourinho and Conte get? Is any of this I’m saying rocket science?
Ange may not ever get Spurs to the top of the league, the money gap in the end might just be too great, but no manager will get there if a lot of Spurs fans or pundits get their way. I place Spurs - if we must put them in a box - at their relative player budget level on the EPL ladder. How much can Spurs sensibly afford for players? If sixth, maybe they’re a top six team. Eighth? Tenth? Ange’s history of working under wage caps means he knows how to work within a budget, up to now, generally better than other managers he has faced with the same budgets. For those who have eyes to see and brains to think, lol. Love your work. You Spurs Rationslists! Whoda thought!
Agree. Honestly, maybe I'm just being hopeful but I'm actually quietly confident the board and Levy change their usual approach and stick by and give Ange time. Because when you assess the circumstances - injuries, the stage the club is at in a rebuild, the general young age of our team, the fact Ange always sticks up for them and doesn't want to burn the house down - they would be completely brain-dead to sack him. And we know theyve made some shocking decisions in their time but surely they can't be that stupid, right?! Lol
@@OhSoSpurs I think it's reasonable to think that Levy has learnt from his mistakes and realised his approach hasn't worked for the past 20 years, and that he's observed how sticking with and backing managers at other clubs has worked out for them - City, LFC, Arsenal and now Newcastle. I think he probably realises he had that situation with Poch but he fumbled it. I guess it's just also reasonable to fear he will revert to type and his bad habits and decisions will rear their head as they have done before. But something's got to give, so let's hope it's the former!!
@@arnie111999 We do but then we'd have no space in the squad. We have 4 centre backs already. In a normal world 4 should be enough. I can't see a quality centre back joining if they feel they'll be behind Romero or VdV. It's a tricky one

I know right. Ange didn't just start intensive training at spurs. He did it everywhere he went. Cue the "but this is the Premier League..." responses.

Ridiculous statement.
Anyone.
Literally anyone walking past the Stadium would get us a better league position.

I imagine due to the fixture congestion they struggle with time for weights. They probably spend most their time in recovery and tactics

Agree, issue is our second string team isn't good enough to offer and confident rotation. We need better players.
First a far far better Manager .
