This video is exactly what my heart needed. Unfortunately we lost all of our fall crops while we were out of town. I'm longing for all the root veggies, greens, etc. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden!! Love from Texas❤. P.S. your hair is so cute!!
I think it depends on your fridge too. Our current fridge can’t keep veggies of any kind, for any period of time. It’s a temporary thrifted fridge and I think it’s just too humid. I can’t wait to have a new fridge that can keep fruits and veggies!
Hey y'all, Is the bread bag one bread came in or is it unused new package of bags. I used to look for bags years ago when I made tons of bread for the flea market could not find them. I finally found some from a neighbor that owned a bakery. Those are gone now. I have the worst time with radishes some years hundreds then none for three or four years. I buy mine from the Hmong ladies at the farmers market they grow them about 10 miles away. Theirs are always fresh and taste clean. Thanks for the video today y'all take care
@@UrbanWhiteBuffaloFarm i agree. We try not to use Amazon but sometimes it's the only source for what we're looking for. Hope you have a wonderful weekend

How was your garden this year?
@@WhisperingWillowFarm some wins/some fails. Just keep plugging away 🙃
This is so informational! Thank you!
You're welcome
I cook radish greens up like regular mustard greens or add them to slaw for fish tacos.
Yum yum 😋
Radish leaves are good finely chopped and put in an omelet quiche or frittata
Yum 😋
Looking forward to trying this soon! ❤
Hubby's the white icicle radishes have no flavor but I still grow and use them. I always use the greens and tops 😋 no waste
Thanks for tips Jill. Very useful information. I'll put it to lots of usr
I haven’t tried root crops yet but I really want to this coming year. Even just a few to start with. I have to read more about when to plant etc

Can you do this with potatoes?
How long does fermented things last?
Thank you for all your knowledge!
I love watching your channel.
Great question. Depending on what it is, 3-12 months
Do you do sweet potatoes this way also?
Great question. I would not do sweet potatoes this way. I would store them in a dark room

Can you show the bread bags that you use? Do produce bags from the grocery store work as well?
The box actually says twist tie bread bag.
