- One mahogany board turned into a carved box all live. We will be marking a small box with dovetails and sliding captured groves all form a single board of mahogany. On top of that, we will do the whole thing live so you can see every step along the way.

For people that want or need to sit down during work, i recommend using a roman workbench. It is a small workbench and you sit on while working.
That would be a great option.

My girl is 4’10” also and I’m 6” tall! Us men with shorter ladies can do this unique thing…If we’re ever in the doghouse for something, we move stuff we know she will need to somewhere on the top shelf. That way she has no choice but to talk to us and ask to for help to retrieve said item. It’s a very effective strategy, but if yours is as observant as mine is…she’ll question why it was put back so high up in the first place, so you risk getting in trouble again😂

the thing that is recorded is great, for a live of 3h+ I guess it must be quite hard on you!. Any how, the box has come out beatutiful... if you keep this on saturday I may have to follow along and build at the same time. I would be great to show you what we came up with!. Cheers!
I'm thinking I might do something like this once every other month or so. It seems to be working well just some small project that can be done in a couple hours.

Sounds like a challenge. It has always amazed me the reactions I get when stating the time spent on knives I've created to people who have never made a knife let alone have sharpened one as if im slow or something. Granted I'm not the best or fastest maker by any stretch, but critiquing someone when they themselves have no experience in the subject matter would be an insult if I didn't find it so hilarious. Please, tell me how long it should take to plan, measure, cut, remeasure, bevel, heat treat, temper, remove heat treat scale, cut scale material, profile scales, sand scales, glue scales, and Sharpen. Granted there are more steps but you get the gist of it. 😅

I guessed the 1 and 4 from watching and listening to the pencil strokes but was guessing 0 or 3 from the look and sound instead of 7. Too bad I missed the live. Loving the marking knife from the other giveaway though. Would have been nice to have the box to keep it in, though I don't think the strop would be stored in the box as I prefer to keep it flat. The compound could go in it though as well as any future card scrapers I buy. Oh, well. I didn't win this box, so it's a moot point, really. I could copy the box out of some sycamore I have and store my WW items in it, I suppose. Sorry I missed the live. Maybe I'll catch the next one. Would love to see a "short-bench live", though it probably wouldn't be a short-live... hahaha. And see James coach Sarah doing most of the work herself. It will mean more to her if she does the work herself.

I got the 1 and the 7 by listening to the pencil strokes. I thought the middle digit was 2 or 5 because one of the strokes sounded and looked round. I never would have guessed 4 from that.

Those dove tails leave much to be desired
On this channel I prefer to show the worst of the dovetails in each project rather than the best like you do in most channels. This is reality as opposed to what most channels try to show.
@WoodByWright This was the first video I have seen of your channel. But when you say it like that. I admire your honesty. With most youtube channels, everything is perfectly done. Through editing. If you're using boiled linseed oil that you didn't make yourself you should be careful not to expose yourself to any solvents that might be in it that can be toxic, a lot of that stuff can cause neurological issues if you're not careful.
That used to be more common. But most of them nowadays are far more benign.
