I picked Caelus just because I like his design more, and ever since then, I've grown more and more attached to him. I love how aggressive his Destruction ult voiceline is, and I love how expressive he is. And it really helps that Hoyo decided to give the Star Rail MCs more diverse dialogue options than the Genshin MCs usually get. I usually make Caelus out to be a reckless and playful guy who doesn't really think before he speaks. XD

Her voice, in both English and Japanese, matches that depressive vibe. She's never once sounded bubbly or clueless in any voice lines, nor has her expression ever felt that way to me, and I've played through the game with her every day since release.

Male MC (Caelus) is more lively, more expression and more get feel the power in aura... Even more fit when in CG or non-CG story.
I feel exactly the opposite. I don't remember a male MC that would feel so blunt to me and I've seen quite a few.

It depends. In dialogue, Stelle is more noticeably expressive. In combat, Caelus is more noticeably expressive (significantly so).

Caelus emits the aura of a typical shonen protagonist while Stelle is the sassy kuudere oftentimes a fan favorite but ended up being a side character. Both are nice and up to the preferences of different consumers that they are considered to be better or not
I personally chose Caelus.
He is so natural at actions and movement, while I feel Stelle is tender at emotional scene.
Both have their own goodness each.

My headcannon is that Stelle is more sassy, flirty, levelheaded and chill while Caelus is more emotive, impulsive, funny and naive. I did choose Stelle in the begginning and i don't regret, her expressions are less explicit making it seems like she's teasing most of the time, so cute.
i kinda have this hc too! in my hc stelle has that chill, smug, tired of everyone bs personality, while caelus is that kind of easy-going, emotional, do or say whatever is in his mind (esp to protect their friends) something like that!

I love Stella because of her character design and her deep eyes 👀. Her expressions and face matches with the story of someone who lost their memories. Yeah she did seem dead and depressive at the beginning since yk, she knows nothing about herself nor has any memories, but later in the story when she makes more memories with her friends, she seems more alive.

Ngl, as pretty as Caelus is, Stelle just makes the game more hilarious to me. It's a bit harder to imagine Caelus digging through trash and stuff, but because of Stelle's 24/7 tired expression imagining her as a completely unhinged raccoon is much more belieavable.
