They were immersed in their business, not mine
Guess I’ll ask somebody else this time

“O gentle, friendly, brave one, can I help you in your distress?”
Kiana:
“I need to find the Dark Lord to fix this mess
Once I defeat him I’ll bring home the cure for my Mei’s sickness
Please help me, tell me how to proceed with this quest”
Seele:
“I can’t come with, I have to stay
But when there’s a will there’s a way
Here’s something for you to share with Mei, cakes I baked they’re made of parfait”
Elysia:
Our hero, now with cake in hand
Continued on as best she can
Climbed a divine, tall mountain after roaming the land
HOS:
“Welcome adventurer from afar
You must have troubles on your mind
Lay down all the crystals which you’ve farmed
Your faith-this rate-up-won’t lie”
Elysia:
Our hero gave up all her crystals to the red-eyed Herrscher
And in return obtained a curious feather
That feather led her to the Dark Lord who’d been waiting for her
A fiery fight would break out between them for sure
Otto:
“O stubborn, brave adventurer,
I know you want my elixir,
You are no match for me, so I’ll sit back and let you take a few turns”
Kiana:
“I have to wake Mei up somehow
So I’ll be beating you up now”
Alas with just one move the Dark Lord had knocked me out
“All three gifts on the ground, scattered
But my friends’ hopes I won’t let shatter
I won’t accept that this is the end
Mei is my best friend”
Himeko:
“Here’s my precious telescope, take it
See the future that you want, make it”
Seele:
“Here’s something sweet for Mei to savor
After you save her”
HOS:
“You’ve still a long way to go till you reach she who’s been waiting for you back home”
HOF:
With the wishes of my friends resonating
I felt a swelling surge of power within
And with one strike I wiped off his smug grin
The elixir’s my reward for the win
Elysia:
Our hero was victorious, headed home all done with her quest
Mei was still sleeping pretty, like a princess
Though I’m a fan of happy endings there’s something I’ll confess
There was another challenge, yes, a final test
Kiana:
“Oh, Mei, My Mei, I do implore
Please wake up now, and sleep no more
Although the elixir seems to look different than how it looked before”
Mei woke up as she drank the cure
Mustered the pep she had in store
Somehow we ended up here on the floor
Elysia:
Our brave hero rescued the day
The grand fairytale finale
What she fed Mei was a love potion now its effects are underway
The time has come for the next trial
So let’s all wave goodbye and smile
And leave them two alone just for a while

I like the little detail that there's dinner on the table when Kiana got back,implying that Mei got up,cooked different food,and then pretended to still be unconscious so that Kiana can "save" her.

I feel like the plot of this animation is a reference to that one quest from Sakura Samsara where Kiana accidentally cooked hallucinogenic mushrooms. I remember it vividly because when she said she can't remember who she was and where she is I joked that she probably ate the wrong (or the right, depending on your perspective) kind of mushrooms. And then the game actually confirmed it.
Regardless, this is amazing. And it was the very first entry in the carnival compilation too. One of my favorite parts of the whole thing, and probably the most memorable.
