I don’t have as many extra eldrazi as you but I have dragon throne of tarkir to slap on my skittering cicada to super buff my mobs after I cascade a million times and overrun my opponents that way
Just wanted to say, what you can do with Basalt Monolith combo you can turn mirage mirror into a mystic forge if you need to exile a card and untap it by turning it into a monolith again to untap it and turn it back into the forge. Rinse and repeat. Great game though ❤
Oof, that's pretty backbreaking, would've pretty much been GG on the spot instead of having to rely on luck, nice one! Edit: Thinking about it more don't you need to be able to cast stuff from the top at flash speed or you're otherwise limited to "just" exiling until you hit something you want to cast since you need the mirage mirror activations on the stack? You'd have to let the stack clear otherwise right?
Yeah the terror of the peaks play was greedy as hell to begin with , he missed 1 land drop so his head was in the pace of these treasures are land drops , but he had enough treasure to essentially save his board on any players turn(s) but played terror. Everyone makes mistakes but man tht whole interaction was just weird.
that cgb turn is really just such a solid example of why cards like sunfall and farewell are actually very normal and cool and should be in your decks lmao
Great deck cgb, I would recommend umbilicus, blood clock, and or erratic portal. So that you can pop eldrazi with big cast triggers back to your hand. And also get more cascade triggers.
I love the upgrades to the decks the last 2 weeks. Seeing a big uptick in power but not stepping into cedh combos is a lot of fun to see, and makes for massive swings
Great videos guys, love the rapport between the team. Been playing edh 10+ years and good to see some quality high power content- cedh is ok to watch but inaccessible to most, and over too quickly- so a lot of us play high power instead. Great idea upgrading the precons, I think a lot of us would like to see what they can do when optimised
Your videos are always in my recommended because I watch them all the time. Seeing this was a new one made my weekend! Thanks for everything you guys do!
As someone who owns Sylvan Library and uses it in a very complex draw deck, I just wanted to say that it doesn't actually work that way. You can't refuse the draw. It actually works more like a Brainstorm. You draw extra cards every turn and then put an amount of them back. The amount you put back is proportionate to the life you pay. I didn't count how much life that would amount to, I don't think Ben wouldn't be dead, I don't think, but he'd be a lot lower.
12:46 feel like this is a mistake in how a lot of people play multiplayer formats. I would not cast something as devastating as terror of the peaks into a board with treasures if I could just do the same thing next turn and also have other plays. No reason to expose it to a board wipe or sorcery speed removal. But the real play was to not be “nice” and allow people to block on the original attack. Send everything at the person with no blockers, get enough treasures to play the terror and buyback and recast wanderer. You will probably get enough etb triggers to kill the other terror and zhulodok anyways.
Should have activated temur sabertooth with the 2 remaining treasure tokens to make it indestructible and bounce the old gnaw bone upon casting blasphemous act. Could have saved 2 creatures hehe..
CGB turning full villain and obviously likes it more than anything. I’m glad he didn’t try to fake compassion :D great game at least for one deck, but again I’m here wondering: why didn’t Blake just save the Wanderer? And why did absolutely nobody play artifact hate, despite the fact that mana rocks play a big role in EVERY game in this pod? And most of all: Why did nobody assess the threat of a colorless eldrazi deck? With mana? But fun it was.
Wouldn't surprise me if Jhoira's Familiar and Foundry Inspector both are in there, but in this setup he didn't need either of them anymore, just a sensei's.
I absolute lost it at "Cascade, cascade will return..." youtube might not like it but I would like to hear some cascada songs from CBG. 'Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling and every time we kiss I swear I could fly.
@@Ragnaroc90 I think this is the right of it. What's his plan look like if he bounces? He has a 4/3 do nothing in play, he's on six mana. He rips a land he can slam Gnawbone and he's immediately the table's problem again, and it likely just gets answered. Versus being on eight mana, giving himself more room to draw threats with immediate board impact or just draw more mana to get his commander down.
Man, game was fun till it stopped being a multiplayer game... Thankfully I can just concede when I'm playing... But hey, at least my boy Nekusar appeared :D
Zhulodok is one of those cards that is JUST bad enough to not be CEDH playable, but has NO place anywhere near a casual to mid-power pod. God that was digusting.
Only if you pack absolutely no interaction for sth like a vanilla dude from the command zone and the forsaken monument. The other 3 decks were absolutely greedy and Blake swung at too many different players when he had the gnawbone. Just swing to the only dude who cannot block. These games are made for content.
Didn't really matter because greaves equip for free and he could've done it before or after re-equipping. The bigger issue for me was cascading of Kozilek, since Zhulodok only triggers from spells cast *from hand* .
@Flupse99 hi thanks, sorry for another question but how did he get the mana for all of it? I wish they would show the cards or explain it more for noobies
It's the basalt monolith and forsaken monolith combo. 1. Tap basalt monolith for 3 mana plus an extra 1 from forsaken monument 2. Pay 3 to untap basalt monolith. You have one floating mana 3. Repeat steps one and two to create infinite mana Hope that helps!
Can i join a pod where my artifacts last more than one turn?!?! Lols every deck ive ever played against always has at least one answer ready and waiting.
33:17 missed lethal, with infinite mana you can turn mirage mirror into planar bridge and tutor then turn it into basalt to untap it. Planar bridge can get all permanents from library including endbringer which the mirror can copy to ping infinitely by alternating between it and basalt.
@@ch4Ron23Yes, you are right. To get around this you can put all of the activations in the stack (bridge, basalt, bridge, etc.) before any of them resolve and still tutor whole library. I believe you can also use mirror’s ability targeting itself initially at the bottom of the stack so that afterwards it turns into a copy of itself and you can do it all again with whatever you tutored.
Probably the tenth EDH game I've seen on youtube where the colorless deck just kills it. The synergy of colorless makes up for the over-costed payoffs. Even when Blake was looking the strongest the group should have been teaming up to get rid of CGB
Their ramp is also just often better to pay for those things too. Cards like Thran Dynamo and the Hedrons have downside in colored decks that makes them not always see play, because pretty often you need black or green mana, not colorless mana. But here Thran Dynamo covers your 'colored' requirement too. Granted, this was a game where the colorless deck got to keep a Forsaken Monument. That card is by a mile the best card they can play, and while it got slowed down it was never stopped. A cheaper Mana Reflections that also buffs the team and gives life to stave off the aggressive decks is, as it turns out, completely broken when your deck enables it for free.
And can I just say, I can't believe CGB's personal friends here have never called him by his real name by mistake. Always calling him 'CGB.' Imagine if your good friends all started calling you by a three-letter acronym, and did it fairly consistently, if not all the time. Can anyone recall a time someone called him some legit male name, whatever it might be? am I wrong? call me out.
