If you have the time, I'd be REALLY interested to see more of your process! Like if you plan the cake out by drawing the design first on paper... using water colors on canvas to see if the colors and effects would be something you'd want... testing out your techniques on swatches of modeling chocolate... As a fellow artist, I'd really love to see that :)

Still-lives would make this easier, since the the colors and such are already decided for her with the object. This one is close to a still life since it’s based on a character designed by someone else already. She probably had pictures of the character on her computer or phone to look at. She’s also mentioned that though it doesn’t work for everyone, winging it and going with her gut it works the best for her. Those aren’t her exact words, but close to what she meant to say. Though, on her and her Husband’s TV show “Texas Cake House,” she does make sketches before hand. Thank might be worth the watch.
