Maftown Heights 2014 Official Event Video

Sights and sounds of the 5th annual Maftown Heights Festival. Maftown Heights has in its 5 years from inception grown from a concert attended by 900 people in 2010 to a festival that saw in excess of 7000 people attend from as far afield as Zambia and Nigeria in the 2014 edition. This makes it the 2nd largest hip hop festival on the African continent.

To all the people who have supported the growth and the journey to date, we are so grateful and humbled. A big thank you to all lovers of Motswako and African Hip Hop at large for coming in your numbers!
We are aware that we had some operational challenges as a result of a massive ticket fraud syndicate. We apologise for the way this unfortunate action by a handful of unscrupulous individuals resulted in a compromised customer experience. We take your customer experience very seriously and have been hard at work in planning and design for the 2015 festival to ensure that you have a world class experience this year. Interventions include a bigger venue, more ticketing personal and box office points to speed up queues, more security, police involvement in patrolling the area surrounding the festival to curb ticket scalping activity and many more interventions.
