Yeah, it's kind of a rubber like plastic that should be pretty durable. It is similar to the Marshall Emberton Il grille and body.

How would you say it compares to the Bogasing G4 ?😅

G4 may have the edge in bass. GoFree has the edge in clarity and detail in the sound. The G4 is noticeably larger, so perhaps a little less portable than the GoFree. The GoFree is closer in size to the Bogasing M5.
