How wonderfully complimentary you are of Rick Francis.
I don't believe I ever heard Rick speak a bad word about you. Certainly not publicly, yet you have warmer word's for Nuff than you do of Rick
Rick wrote some incredible Iconic Song's from the heart and had a huge variety of feel on his Songs.. Major and Minor Chord's and Rick still had a great singing voice up until your Quid Pro Quo album.
Rick was a superb (the Best) Ambassador for Status Quo and spoke both clearly and coherently; always proud of the Band he loved so much. Quo's loyal fans loved him....

Wow! Both Rossi and Parfitt had good voices but Rick’s voice was always brilliant. He had that great rock voice. Sorry Francis but Rick was Quo.

Quo had three good voices with Francis, Rick and Alan. Very different voices but I think Quo had a suiting voice for every song.

D'you know. I think that you're right. Francis clearly worked Hard to Steer Status Quo in their first couple of year's and create such a Raw, Clean and beautifully Rocky Sound.
Ma Kellys Greasy Spoon was and still is such a PERFECT album for their 'transition'. Dog if two Head ramped up Status Quo's profile Big Time, then along with the Vertigo Record Label and Colin Johnson as Manager, 'Piledriver' established Status Quo as true contenders to Established Rock Band's like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep etc.

In a Rick Parfit interview he and a manager said he got it from the inside of a shoe it had some Italian name then Quo and they both came out with a few names before quo then one said status and the other said quo and that was it status quo.

Rossi has a it a twisted view on Quo not being tight enough, but what every Quo fan liked about them every concert was different, Rick was QUO

Rossi has always tried to hide serious issues and topics by making a 'joke' about it.
He's been doing it for decades.
He's like a Poker player with a 'tell'

Watched a lot of these interviews, and they are always fascinating. But like a lot on here, I only really like the Frantic Four line up and albums and won't listen to the "new" sterilised Quo. As an aside, I recently saw Rossi do a Q and A evening to support his book release. Interesting as he was, at the end of the evening, I found myself rather disliking him. Whether that was because of the way he took control of the band or his treatment of the other members, I'm not sure.

No. They all did. When John left in 1981 the band were already 20 years together on the road. Most marriages don't last that long. They started off as boys and friends ready to conquer the world but after twenty years the boys had become men, with very different personalities. Drugs, booze and their very different personalities tore the original band apart along with the killing schedule of being constantly on the road for most of that time. You have lost some friends along the way in the past twenty years I guess. I do.

No mate, Francis Rossi realised that playing the same sounding songs was not going to work in the 1980's and beyond, I prefer the 70's Quo but ego, drugs and someone moving to Australia is not exactly ideal for a band to function.

Have you noticed how Rossi mentions Alan Lancaster multiple times.
To me and millions of QUO fans, we believe that Alan was the major factor in QUO.
Lancaster was the spine, the balls, the blood n guts.
Rossi and Parfitt had no right to continue using the Band's name.

The problem I have with Rossi is that he is very charming and loveable.
He is super intelligent and extremely talented.
He has memorized the lyrics and all the Guitar chords and lead breaks to hundreds of songs.
I despise men that wear white socks, it is very wrong to do so.
Some of the best Guitarists in history are secretly and privately extremely annoyed (to put it mildly) with Rossi for 'wasting' his talent.
    Seriously, Francis, Country music.
'Marguerita Time' is a disgusting and revolting song.

Why does he fool around in every sentence, is it possible he thinks that's funny, it isn't it's annoying, there's something wrong with him he's someone i wouldn't want to be around with!.

A few fuses blown there thanks to Columbian marching powder? If he was a child today they'd probably catagorise that as ADHD {Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder}. Keith Moon, another perfect example. Can you imagine being around people like that for very long!! Jeeez...
