And I was too young back then 🙁 up today I wonder what happens to the electronic scene in Holland? They had soooo many good djs and producers. Now it's just bullshit pop music for the money.
At the time i got into Trance Energy with some friends who where a few years older than me. Officially it wasn't allowed cause you had to be 18, but i just sneaked in between them and it worked :D Those where the times man, late 90s / early 2000s, every week there was a trance festival somewhere here in The Netherlands. Trance Energy, Sensation, Massive, Inner City, etc. Probably 80-90% of the visitors were spaced out on XTC, and the atmosphere was so very chill cause of it, like everyone was in the zone and everyone elses friend, all while listening to the golden age of trance music being played live in front of you.
Timeless set. Some of my favourites are Johan Gielen - Trance Energy 2003 and 2004, Ferry Corsten - Trance Energy 2004, Cosmic Gate TE 2003 and Paul Van Dyk - TE 2003

I’ve heard some awful Tiësto sets but this one shows his complete mastery of the mixer levels, when to mix in and out, beat matching and what records compliment each other.
I come back and listen from time to time. I saw him in Atlanta in 2005 the Tabernacle only like 2k people what a night and 2007 I think a little larger venue. I can’t imagine being in Amsterdam for this.
Awesome reconstruction! I used to listen to a recording of this live set loads when I was younger - I wrote many lines of code to Tiesto and to like. This was when Trance was awesome, unlike the all-sounds-the-same junk from modern times.

Nicely done! I’ve listened to this set (original) probably 200-300 times over the years. Kinda weird listening to it without the original voiceovers, but still just as nostalgic.
Best set. Listened to it many times. I kind of miss the announcer yelling, but I understand the purpose of this reconstruction is to focus on a better audio quality. This is great. Thank you.
