@@AndriiZhulidov I love the idea of the linear park but I agree that they need to pay more attention to some aspects. I particularly find the rebranding of the 'Federal District' as CDMX unnecessary. By the way, each new administration redo the city branding (colors, logos, etc), which is a huge waste of resources. I do like seeing a lot of construction projects and changes to the urban landscape.
Hello!! New member in your channel and yes!!! It probably happened what you mentioned first!! Someone in the CDMX probably got a good amount of money into their pockets with the help of the designer and construction company!! But sometimes we rather have those kind of government officials that the other kind! The ones that don’t do nothing at all and just get their pockets full of our monies!!!😂😂😂 I like your channel you have a different approach to CDMX!!! Keep it up!!!
I loved this video - even your knit-picking about the design (because you clearly know what you are talking about). We were just in Mexico City and I am very sorry that we did not know about this park. I love the idea of the park and we are always looking for walking routes. Next time). As for the execution, hopefully as the park gets more use, and the vegetation grows in, some of the issues that you raised will be addressed. I also loved the shout out to Ukraine! Thank you for your excellent work!
It could have been a good idea but cheaply finished. You are Absolutely right. I hate those signs everywhere naming the place by the thousands. All over Mexico no matter where. They only copy the first place that did it & the whole sheep flock follows. We the citizens don´t deserve it.-
Thank you for your comment! Hey, we can’t always know everything and be everywhere. I also haven’t visited much and travel extensively in my home country of Ukraine where I lived 23 years. Buy great thing is that we can always fix it, so if you feel like it, you can get to know Mexico more!
It seems like it would be much easier to lower the sidewalk two feet than raise the bridge by the same amount. Why not interview someone in the parks department? Maybe when there is proof of concept regarding the purification of the water, private developers will better appoint the park. The mismatched lights and etc. sounds as though this project had severe budget limitations.
I think the sidewalk of the park is right directly on the concrete structure which keep the river inside, so I don't think it is possible to go lower. I would love to have a big youtube channel to have some audience and weight to be able to come around and ask for interviews! I'm working towards it! 😀 It also looks to me like they had not only budget limitations for developing the project, but also for maintenance as well.
the sad reality with big ambitious projects in Mexico is that they are made mostly for show and political gain, I mean, is better than nothing but it sucks that they rarely give architecture and design the importance it have in the city and they just choose the cheapest option that will malfunction in a year
This is really sad that politicians never look into big picture and doing things just so their name can be mentioned. However, I wouldn't cost more just to do it better in terms of design and thinking it through.
@@AndriiZhulidov don't listen them, they are tóxic opinologists that put buts to anything like the social misfits they are, complaining for a proyect that works with no problem since 4 years, before of that was a sad concrete deck of a envobeded river.
Thanks for watching. Do you like the idea and the execution of this park? Let me know in the comments!
I love the atmosphere of this video🤗
Just beautiful!
I have not been to Mexico City in years (my hometown) so I love watching on RUclips how the city is changing 😁. 🇺🇦🇺🇲🇲🇽
Thank you Martin! Do you like the changes? 😀

@@mmkjijhuks1841 oh, yeah, this CDMX on every corner is so unnecessary, I even mentioned that in the video. Thanks!

Thank you! I think corrupt governments love to start big ambitious projects, as bigger the project, more money you can make on it.

I really like your drone footage, amazing as usual 🤩
Thank you! Yes, drone footage always add interesting perspective.

It looks like something done in a rush. It's really disappointing. A good idea poorly executed. It could have been a great bike lane.
Unfortunately! But it still can be a nice place if to invest in it again

Can't agree more with your opinion. It's was good intention but poor execution 😌 Mexico City deserves better projects.
@@AndriiZhulidov that's the thing, good design doesn't mean more money just more planning, but when you only have 4 or 6 years in power...
@@a.s.f.g.8345 I see! Yes, good design needs time to be developed too.

you sshould talk to someone who is actually involved instead of just complaining about soemthing that is clearly not even finished yet
I don't know why the cdmx is everywhere? That is so stupid
Not sure what do you mean. What exactly do you feel is stupid?
