About ideas for more gilmore girls, I usually associate gold rush with s2-s3 Jess and Rory (and their story later on, "my mind turns your life into folklore/I can't dare to dream about you anymore" always makes me think of Jess giving Rory advice about the book and then looking through the window), or willow with them too

I've been planning to vid both Lorelai & Rory and all their men to this song since I first heard it and it also became MY favorite song on the album (or at least it was at first...), but first I decided I had to rewatch the whole show first... I just got through 6x02 so I'm getting there lol... I am still planning to vid my idea but it's also so great to see the unique take you had on this song with this vid here too!! When I saw this I was a little worried it might be too similar to my idea but I think mine will be different in most ways. This is just... so sweet, though! And I really love it.

The only guy that was always there in any capacity Lorelai needed him as, a diy fixer for her odd jobs, foundation repair, look out for Rory, boyfriend screener, shoulder to cry on, financial support, partner in argument or sassy talk back, problem solver, emotional advisor. Luke and Lorelai were already married in a soul kinda way, they just struggled in making it a reality in the physical sense. Each with their own struggles , but still wanting to come back to each other. Definition of true love. Christopher loved Lorelai, but he wasn't there for her in a man man kinda way. He was the pretty boy with a heart of gold but it would be hard to see him with a tool box digging under the house to sort out the foundation for Lorelai. She needed a man man who was comfortable being just that, flannel shirt and baseball cap included in the deal. She knew it , but she struggled as her background demanded quietly that she find a more flashy kinda guy. Rory in the end had the same kinda of problem. Her grandparents name and influence demanded a more flashy kind of guy and Logan fitted the bill, heart of gold, knew all the right things to do, gifts on special days, holidays, dress nice etc, but he was tethered to his parents ambitions for him which meant he would have the same struggle as Christopher in the search for self. Jess on the other hand was a chip off the old block like Luke , a rebel but with an inner intelligence that spoke to Rory but with out the flashy external persona. Dean as lovely as he was just had the bad luck of being the first boyfriend, he was similar to Jess but without the literature bent, he was a more practical kinda guy like Luke, fix cars, get a job in the building industry etc. He would be the kind of guy who would grow into his confidence and abilities with the right kind of calm woman . Rory needed someone who would connect with her on an intellectual level hence Jess's book reading and then writing a book had just the right elements but with a practical leaning as well hence fixing the toaster for his uncle Luke without any fan fair.
