Assalamwaleikum brother may allah reward you for your goodness. Can you please do more instructional videos like this? It was really helpful Jazakhallah khair
So do we go the same with over the shoes if we're going to be praying with them on? In a place where you couldn't it wouldn't want to pray with them off
@@PEACEFULLNESS1450 I thought the mufti had specficially stated in this video that thin socks were okay? Or did i mishear what he said. This is in relation to this video not the above fatwa's
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله Sheikh, you are teaching how to wipe over the socks etc,it's a good thing;May Allaah reward you and forgive you,but I want to say to you something: ان الله لا يستحي من الحق.My moslim brother, you are using or you used too much water and it's not allowed. Although some scholars said something about the hadith but the hadith is sahih or hasan inshaa Allaah, and we have also a verse in chapter A'raf...ولا تسرفوا إنه لا يحب المسرفين Imam Ahmad (6768) and Ibn Maajah (419) narrated from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessing and peace of Allah be upon him) passed by Sa‘d when he was doing wudoo’, and he said, “What is this extravagance, O Sa‘d?” He said: Can there be any extravagance in wudoo’? He said, “Yes, even if you are on the bank of a flowing river.” Shaykh Ahmad Shaakir said: Its isnaad is saheeh. Shaykh al-Albaani (may Allah have mercy on him) classed it as da‘eef in Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, then he classed it as hasan in Silsilat al-Ahaadeeth as-Saheehah. The hadeeth was classed as da‘eef by a number of scholars because its isnaad includes Ibn Luhay‘ah, but al-Albaani (may Allah have mercy on him) stated that the hadeeth is also narrated by Qutaybah ibn Sa‘eed from him, and his reports from him are saheeh.Inshaa Allaah this will remind you the sunnah of prophet Mohammad ppuh. والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله
There is a unanimous consensus by the 4 great jurisprudence with a strong opinion that only leather socks are allowed for acceptable masah! This has been debated and discussed at great lengths for over a decade! The rest is up to you. Allah SWT knows best!

Jazak Allah. Could have done this by just cupping a little water instead running the tap
I'm confused about wiping to the shin or bicep. I learned this is sinful and excessive to go past the joints. What is what?
does this apply to thin socks as well - ie. those in which water can seep through?
Xiaomi UK yes
@@sameera6255 erm no sameera. Somebody has passed you incorrect information that's not authentic

I think should just use think socks
I wipe over my socks the same way I do with wudu, I’m talking about the motion and the movement not LITERALLY wetting my socks
so do you do it three times or once on each foot?
Only once..
Thank you

Akhi zazaak Allah gijran for the nasiha. Walakin that was to much water for wiping.
What about foot fungus?
Wet socks destroy the feet.
In that case, removed your sock then
