The doctrine of this ordinance is so necessary to as President Nelson says, “to know the end from the beginning.” This understanding makes the Red Brick Store as important an acquisition as obtaining the Kirtland Temple as all the keys are restored and exercised in these two edifices and the kingdom was rolled off on the shoulders of the twelve. This was an excellent presentation brethren am sorry to see only a couple of likes and a troll supporting it. Truly you’re touching the pearls here so hopefully the very sacred nature of this topic will be preserved as you try and help others stretch and go up the mountain. Andrew Ehats thesis and book, “Words of Joseph Smith” are must reads for further information on this topic.
I was told that prayer circles were practiced in stake presidency meetings. Temple clothes and all. Not only that but it was common for women to serve in stake presidencies along with their husbands.
Thanks for all this interesting information. *sigh* I guess I'll have to wait. I just want to add a note about sealing. When my husband and I were sealed, I already had a son, who was an adult at the time, but had mostly been raised by my current husband. My son wanted to be sealed to us, but there had never been a formal adoption. As we discussed this with, um, I can't remember if it was the stake president or the temple president, but we were told that as an adult you could be sealed to anybody you wanted, and a formal adoption wasn't necessary. So really, not much different that Casey's great, great, great uncle being sealed to Brigham Young.
Seems like many many people have forgotten that Temple ordinances are symbolic and nothing absolutely nothing is truly made sure until the absolute final judgment but everything again is symbolic of those things that we can and will obtain eventually the eternities after the final judgment. We can obtain them here.. but clearly that's not the full blessing and that's never possible in this Mortal world and life, but that does not guarantee we will obtain them at the final Judgment. we have to endure to the end
What are your thoughts on Joshua and the destruction of the cities of Caanan? How about the Prophet who killed all those young men for making fun of his bald head?
You don’t agree with capital punishment and that’s fine, but this was practiced in the Bible just so you know. You may not agree with it, it’s talked about in the Bible.
Blood atonement was never practiced, and even if it had been, was not a temple ritual. Brigham Young was speaking as a man and not as a prophet. (Side note: I would be interested in seeing episodes of this podcast about blood atonement, Adam-God, and other doctrines Young taught that aren't accepted or taught any longer.)
Blood atonement is symbolic of ancient cosmological events just like all the strange ordinances. The Church is true, you just need to do your homework. Bring back the penalties!! hahaha =) www.youtube.com/@toeknee1943
As Always , I am impressed by the 'Sticking to Facts, rather than conspiracies or hearsay

Love this, thank you for these amazing podcasts :)
Always good.

I've heard of them being done in "regular" chapels, even if the room it was done in didn't have an altar, as well as in gatherings in private homes.
I doubt the first claim and can solidly refute the second.
Maybe a long time ago ? Not now .
Thanks for sharing it .

I’m aware of two buildings still standing that still have dedicated prayer circle rooms: Chesterfield ID and Grantsville UT.
Blood atonement is all you need to know about Mormon temple rituals to find Mormonism to be an abomination.
