teacher since I touch on this topic, what has me with a headache, are the scriptures for example 3: 5, or 4: 3, 7: 5 so, the truth many say this for example 4: 3 four strokes instead of three, but how do you play there is a lot of writing like that, sorry teacher could you one day explain this, I understand the polyrhythm, but sometimes I can't find where the time is .. a hug teacher

I dont 100% understand your question. but see if this helps... in notation if I write 2 8th notes (i.e. one beam over the top. then I decide I want to squash three notes into the same space I simply write three notes with one beam over the top and above that I write a 3. i.e. 3 8th note triplets..... in the "old days" people would actually write 3:2 telling you that you need to squash 3 notes in the space of 2 but over the years we have gradually stopped writing the 2 and just putting a 3... this is the same concept if we write 4 5 6 7 etc.
BUT poly Rhythm is where we actually play BOTH the 2 8th notes AND the 3 8th note triplets. So people sometimes say its a 3 over 2 poltrhythm or they might write 3:2 polyrhythm.

3:48 I can do the rythm with my fingers, but they're just interchanging, note-by-note, not finger x playing note, note, note and finger y playing note.....note....,. How the fuck do I make one hand do one decisive motion and the other do a completely different one? Is it just my ADHD thing or is it actually as hard as I make it out to be?
